PROPOSAL FOR M.COM.

(ADVANCED ACCOUNTANCY)

B. Com. (Accounting & Finance) is three years Degree Course affiliated to


University of Mumbai. This course is basically self-supporting in the sense that the fee structures
of the above mentioned course is designed in such a way that the colleges / institutions are
required to manage the financial as well as the academic requirements of the course. No Aid
would be given by the Government to this course and it would be on permanently no-grant basis.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:--

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the B.Com (Accounting & Finance)
Degree Course shall have passed H.S.C. examination of Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary
Education and or its equivalent examination and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at
first attempt (40% in case of reserved category).

TIMING OF THE COLLEGE:--

The lecture timing of the course will be morning 7.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

NUMBER OF STUDENTS:--

A batch shall consist of not more than 60 students.

REQUIREMENTS:--

1. Teaching Staff :
First Year -- 1 Co-ordinator and 4 Teachers on CHB

Second Year -- 1 Co-ordinator and 8 Teachers on CHB

Apart from above teachers we need subject experts for guest lectures.

2. Non-teaching Staff :
A. One full time clerk
One full time clerk is required under the new CBGS examination pattern of exam.
Two years course is divided in four semesters. Clerk has to take care of
admission, enrolment, sending online examination forms, verification, railway
concession, correspondence with university, Preparation of salary. Even if college
will be in evening but full fledge administrative work will be there.
B. One peon
C. One Library attendant for Issuing Books in the evening
D. One Peon cum Computer Laboratory attendant

3. Class Rooms
Well furnished / equipped classrooms are required

First Year -- 1 class room

Second Year -- 2 class rooms

Apart of this, computer lab is required for conducting computer practical, project
work etc. Occasionally, Assembly hall & Audio-visual room will be required for
arranging seminars, workshops, guest lectures and for conducting co-curricular /
extra-curricular activities and Examination Room will be required for CAP.

4. Course Co-ordinator :
There will be a course coordinator who will prepared time table, arrange for lectures,
attend meeting at University and arrange for external examiners and coordinate with
University, Visiting Faculties, Students and Principal.
5. Library :
The college shall spent Rs.60,000/-(Rs. Sixty thousands only) in the first year on
purchase of books and journals as the initial investment, on the library. Thereafter the
entire library fees collected from the students shall be invested on library.

6. Equipments:

The course would be a well programmed course for which various teaching aids like
overhead projector, LCD, Laptop, T.V., Vedio-Cassettes, Computer-PC will be used.

On the basis of the demand from the students in future M.Com can also be started with Management
specialization. Proposal is purely tentative. It can vary on the number of students and course
content.

Note: Starting of new M.Com Colleges is not included in the perspective plan of University up to the
academic year 2015-16. In future if it is included we can apply and follow the procedure.
