Hannah :(screams)

Settings : in Bella’s house.

Bella : (holds a picture) ah, it’s been a long time since we met
each other. I still remember we used to hang out so much...
The Gamelans. Oh yeah, Jessica, she was the best. OMG, I miss
her so much! (contacted Jessy)

Hey Jessy Silly! How are you? I’m doing more than fine! Hey by
the way, I was cleaning my house and somehow, I stumbled upon
a picture of us and gosh it just makes me eager to meet all of
you. I really miss you guys so much! Wanna hangout this
Saturday? What about… we make a reunion potluck? Great! I’ll
inform the others in the group! See you babe!

(messages The Gamelans, everyone agrees)

We’re going to have our REUNION!! Now everyone must pm me
about the food that you’re going to bring. I want the food to
be different, but I also want the surprise element!

Scene 3

Settings : Saturday, Cody’s room.

: (gets out of bed, looks at himself in the mirror, sees a pic

Cody of The Gamelans) it’s the day. I can’t wait to meet them!

(sees a picture of Roselle) (holds a pic of Roselle) ...and I

miss you the most, Rose. (smirks)

(Gets ready and hits the road)

Settings : In the car.

Hannah : Is everybody here? Can we go now? Wait a minute, where’s

Bella?!
Eh, yeah, I just remembered she’s not coming.

Jessica : What the hell!! Not coming?! Wasn’t she who planned this?

Hannah : Relax, relax. Hm, it’s like we’re missing another person.
Grace?
 : OMG yes, where is Grace?
Rose
: I know right. Well apparently, they are the only ones who
Stacey have things to do in life. (sarcasm) (Rolls her eyes)

: Then we’re incomplete!

Rose
:(interrupt rose) Hey, did you guys know anything about Brian?
Jessica I haven’t heard or seen him for ages. Did something happen or
what (mocking tone) Last time I heard that he got the
opportunity to work somewhere in Europe? Where was it? Was it
Italy?

(Rose’s face changes to a serious and sad look)

:(look at rose) Something happened to him few years ago. He

isn’t here anymore...
Hannah
:(confuse) What? Something happened? Oh my god is he okay?

Jessica : No... he... Well...pretty much unlucky?

Hannah : How unlucky?

Jessica (everyone silent)

: Uhm er, how’s life?

Ruby
:(Hannah’s phone rings) Wait, it’s Grace! (Picks up the phone)
Grace? Hi! Are you on your way? Yeah, we’re on the road. No, I
Hannah wasn’t driving. Where are you? Oh, you’ll be late? (suddenly
in low voice) Okay, see you there then. (then suddenly uplifts
her voice in joy) Oh and um... I have a surprise for you.
You’ll see then. Yeah, okay, bye.

: What did she say?

Chelsea : Can you for once mind your own business?

Jessica : Can you stop talking to me, please?

Chelsea : (stunned at Chelsea and Jessica fight over a small problem)

Umm... yeah, she just called, informed me that she’ll be late?
Hannah
: Late? Hmm... Wonder what’ll she does for being late? Did she
tell you why?

: Umm... Nei?
Jessica
: Hear that? Who knows if she’s busy lounging, entertaining
some old man? For money? Or maybe she’s entertaining more than
Hannah one?
Jessica
: Can you stop? Make up some random stories? She’s our friend!
Stop talking trash!

Hannah : Well, I’m just being honest. Living is hard these days...
Especially in the modelling career... Heard a lot of rumors
saying models received more than they deserve?

(Everyone looks at Jessica unbelievably)

(While having some conversation with the others, suddenly

James remembers that he must call his secretary)

James : Excuse me, can you give me a moment? I must call my

secretary. Something urgent came up. (excuses himself)

Ruby : Are you gonna call your secretary or your secret-love-story?

: (clears throats) Excuse me, Dr. Ruby. (stern voice)

James
(James is dialing the number)

: Shit! There’s no line here!? How am I supposed to call my

James secretary! A perfectly made villa but there is no connection.
Who the hell booked this villa in this first place? Arghhh!
(Stomps his feet but with dignity like a CEO pls)

(James go back to the crowd)

: There’s is no bloody reception here. I’m sure that one

social butterfly will get depress soon. (sarcasticly)
James (Staring to Jessica)

:(Jessica acting depressed and grumble) Ughh, why are you

Jessica staring at me when you said social butterfly.

: But you are really a social butterfly.

Jessica

Cody : Hey Rose. Long time we don’t meet each other.

(Rose turn her back and shine)

(Cody stunned)

Rose : Yeah, it’s been so long. You know what? Our LDR is so hard
but we survived. I always miss you when I was in UK.

Cody : Yeah, I miss you too. By the way, I want to give you this
flower.

Rose : It’s been 3 years since you gave me flowers. And I heard you
are a great detective now. Solving many cases.

: Yeah. It is quite stressful. But seeing you here release the

Settings : In the house

(Everyone looks very happy.)

Hannah : (Preparing drinks) (mumbling to herself) Please be enough...

 Please... (stirs the drink, hoping that the ice is enough)
Wait, no!!!

Stacey : (Curios face and running a little before looking at Jessica)

What? Why?

Hannah : We ran out of ice!

Jessica : Oh no! Not the ice! We need ice! Are you kidding me?
Cocktails never tastes good without ice!

Cody : Jessica, it’s just a small matter. I can go and buy it.

Chelsea : It’s okay, I’ll go.

James : Alone? All by yourself? Are you sure?

Chelsea : You wanna go with me? (Chelsea gets flirty with James)

James : Well, it would be my pleasure to accompany sweet lady like

you. Besides isn’t it dangerous for a woman to go out alone,
especially at this hour.

(Jessica seems jealous and rolls her eyes. She follows Hannah
to the kitchen)

: Eww, can you guys please stop? I had enough (jess leaves and
Jessica continues to mumble alone)

:(Shakes their head. Entertained with Jessica’s behavior)

Settings : In the kitchen.

Jessica : Is that a Pandan cake! (Eats the cake) This is so nostalgic.

I remembered... (eating hungrily/ravenously), during
meeting...(eats again) we eat this all the time. Then, there’s
one time we got full and made a mess in the room, then Ruby
came (Eats the cake) and scolded us. (Everyone laughs)

Stacey : Yeah, she was so furious. The crooks on her face? *looks at
ruby* Oh my god? *Points to Ruby* The crooks still there!

(throwback: everyone eats Pandan cake back in university)

: Yeah, that’s why I bought it, it holds our memories.

Hannah Everyone is too busy with their own life and it’s been a long
time ever since. Maybe this cake can recall our sweet,
unforgettable memories, right? (smiles)

: Jessy! Excuse me Jess. I’m busy with these dishes. Can you
Rose help me cut the Pandan cake?
 : Yeah sure. How should I slice it? In the past we used to
Jessica just bite a part of this, hahahhaha. How disgusting we were
back then. Eeww...

: Oh, come on, be civilized ok? So just cut it to ten slices.

Rose Fairly, please.

: Aye aye ma’am

Jessica
: Hey guys, when grace called me when we’re on our way here,
Hannah she told me that she would be a little bit late. So, can we
save a few slices for her?

: Sure. But what if we serve the other first?

Settings : In the living room.

(Hannah and the gang serve the dishes)

Hannah : Jess, (holds Grace’s cake) can you please put these
somewhere? It’s Graces’.

Jessica: : Okay. (announces to everyone) These two are Grace’s, DON’T

TOUCH ‘EM!

(Everybody left the kitchen and continue to chat in the living

room except Rose. She just finished with her dishes.)

: Hey Rose, u coming?

Stacey
: Go ahead, I need to drink water first. Felt dehydrated
Rose
suddenly, sorry. (picks up a glass)

(Stacey leaves)

(Rose pours some plain water into the cup, drink it and left
it beside the cake, looks at the cake)

(Grace arrives)
: Hello everyone! I’m sorry for being late. (happily walking
Grace to the kitchen to meet everyone)

: Oh my god, you’re finally here. (Excitedly hugs her)

Hannah
: Yeah, it’s been a long time. Good to see you again. (hugs
Rose her)

: Yeah, I am so sorry, I had to do something earlier. (hugs

Grace Rose) By the way, there’s no reception here. I can't access to
Waze (hugs Stacey) but luckily, I met James and Chelsea while
on my way here.

: You met them?! So where are them? Outside? Dating?

Stacey
: Outside? Yes, Dating? Maybe...

: Looks like they’re enjoying their cheap shopping together.
Jessica (rolls eyes)

: Uuuu...someone’s jealous? (looks at Jessica) (then ignores

her) Hey we saved u some slices of these. (shows the Pandan
Stacey
cake and pushed the plate to her) We thought u might want
some. It really brings back a lot of memories.

:(takes the smaller piece) I’ll just have the small one. I’m
on a diet but... I guess I must try some of these. (took a
Grace bite) Well, it really does bring back lots of memories. (start
touching her neck) ermm... Pass me that glass please...

:(Rose pours water into a cup and hands it over to Grace)

Stacey : Thanks. (drinks the water) (takes another bite of the cake)
(touches her neck) (puts the glass on the table) (coughs)
Grace (holds her throat firmly then stands and starts to walk to but
fails and collapses)

: Woah, Grace!!(Panic) Are u okay? Grace? Wake up!

Stacey : Gosh Grace, stop pulling people’s attention please.

Jessica (Stacey helped Hannah to wake grace up, but she didn’t wake up
obvi then sees bubbles out from her mouth)

: Shit! No! Grace is not breathing!

(everyone rushes to Grace)

Stacey : Arghhhhhhhh

:(immediately rush into the living room from outside to figure

Hannah out what is going on)

Chelsea & : Where’s Ruby! Anyone! Help! Grace is unconscious!

James
(ruby rushes to check on grace’s pulse, ruby sees grace’s
Stacey fingers are turning to blue and her mouth smells like almond)

:(clears her throat) I’m sorry guys but... I believe that she
 had swallowed a poison, cyanide. (looks at everyone)

Ruby : Poisoned?

: How can you be so sure it is a what... cyan-ide poison?

Everyone
: It is easy. Cyanide would disrupt our respiratory system as
Stacey it prevents oxygen to be sent to the cell. So, we can see the
blue-purple sign at the end of Grace finger and the almond
Cody smell from her mouth.

: I think we should manage his body first before we think the

solution for this problem.

: Yeah.

(Cody noticed something)

Scene 9

Setting In living room

(Cody was silent)
(Hannah was sobbing while being comforted by Ruby)
(others are having a moment of silent, did not know what to
do)

(Stacey, Jess, Chelsea in the room with Grace laying on the

bed)

:(serious tone) Grace was killed. This is a murder and that

Cody murderer might be among us. Anyone could be the suspect.

:(Hannah cries harder and panicking)

Hannah We should get out of here. Anyone could be the next target. We
need to leave.

:NO!! (stern voice) Nobody is leaving this villa until the

murderer is found. I need everyone to sit down and don’t
panic.

: Yeah, Cody’s right. We can’t leave until we find who is

Stacey
responsible for Grace’s death. We are all suspected.

Rose : We should call the police.

James : There is no service in this area! I have been trying to call

the ambulance multiple times. I swore once I see I’m gonna
kill her. (looks at Jessica)
Scene 10

Settings : the gathering place.

Cody : Someone must go out from this shitty place and seek help.
Call the police and the ambulance so that they can take over
the case.

Jessica : Okay, who would go? And of course, we don’t want the person
to ran away. (glares at Hannah)

Hannah : What the hell!! Why the fuck are you looking at me. I won’t
run away. Cody had told everyone to stay until the murderer
is found! Can you please...

: Ya, ya, whatever. Sorry...

Jessica
: Done? (looks at both Jessica and Hannah) Why don’t we do
Cody
pitch and toss to choose who is going to get help. (taking
out silver coin from pocket because silver reacts with
cyanide)
So, everyone gathers around, just toss the coin and if you
get the head then you’re going.

(Stacey, Chelsea and Jessy toss the coin first and get tail)

(Ruby tosses the coin and gets head)

Ruby : Oh my... (begins to panic) (hands the coin to James)

James : If I die tonight...

Chelsea : James please no... (looks at James)

(James tosses it and gets tail) (James and Chelsea relieved)

(Hannah tosses the coin and gets head)

Hannah : Ruby, I’m with you.

(Rose’s turn) (Cody looks away)

(Rose gets tail)

: Let’s go, Hannah.

: Take care, guys.

Cody

(Ruby and Hannah went out to get a phone line and call the
 police and ambulance)

Scene 11

Settings : In the living room

Stacey : This is a mess. Honestly, who did this?

Cody I’m not sure but one thing that I am certain of is it won’t
end well for all of us.

(Hannah and Ruby entered the living room)

Hannah : I’m sorry guys, we’ve tried. Still, there’s no line.

Ruby : Yea, we went all around the villa. We have walked for almost
half a kilometer. But no, nothing’s changed.

Chelsea : This villa is isolated. That’s why. Why did Bella throw us
here in the first place?

Jessica : She did not throw us here! She’s just missed us! (stressed)
It is obvious that Grace died after she ate the cake. I don’t
wanna accuse anyone blindly but if the cake is really the
cause of her death, then Hannah could be the murderer.

Hannah
: What the hell, how dare you Jess. I brought the cake because
I wanted to bring back the nostalgic sense. (started to cry
little) We used to eat the cake together during our university
years. And now Grace is dead? You still thinking I AM the
murderer? (crying)
Cody
: You can’t just simply say things Jess. Look, everyone ate
the cake but apparently, Grace is the only one who got
poisoned. We can’t blame the cake yet.
Stacey
: Jess just stop pretending, you’re not a f**ing detective.
Just let the expert do his job. He has better knowledge about
this compared to you, this is in his field! (refer to Cody)
But if you ever ask me who is the murderer, I think Rose is
the potential murderer because she’s acting weird tonight.
Rose
: Acting weird!? What do you mean, you!? You can’t just accuse
me, you don’t even have proof. Grace took the cake by herself.
How is that my fault!? What about Jess? She looks like she’s
pretending to be so cheerful tonight. Wasn’t it weird? She
must’ve planned something!!
Stacey : Hahahaha, I can’t deny it but....

Rose : How about you? You gave that plate to her!?

Cody : Everyone just calm down. Right now, anyone could be the
murderer here, we need to be careful and stick together
because there’s a possibility that the murderer is still
planning to commit another murder. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure
the culprit is exposed.
Stacey
: Wow. That’s a hero right there! The real detective is in
action! (Talking to herself out loud)

Scene 12

Settings : in living room

(Everyone sits in the living room, having a discussion)

Cody : Right now, let’s get to the details of the incident. Grace
arrived late and she was sorry for it. She grabbed the cake
and then took a bite even though she’s says she’s on a diet?
Moving on, she said, it brought back old memories. Then, you
(points at Rose) said that she started to touch her neck and
asked for a drink but took another bite then again, held her
throat tightly before collapsed to the floor.

: Exactly.
Rose
: Then everyone was around her when James and Chelsea came
Cody
over.

: Cody, you should reveal how the murder was done.

Ruby
: Before she collapsed, she took two bites of the cake and a
Cody sip of water. Maybe these things were contaminated by the
deadly poison because she was fine before all of that.

(Cody looked at the bitten cake and the glass used by Grace)

: Who gave her the water?

Cody
: I did. But it was poured directly from the jug and everyone
Rose drank from it.

: Yes, then it is impossible to put the poison into the jug

Cody
: Maybe the poison is on the mouth of the cup?
Ruby
: But I used it before Grace did.
Jessica
: Which hand did you use to pick the glass up? Right or left?
Cody
: Right of course.
Jess
: Grace?
Cody
: I saw her drank using her right hand. By the way, why the
Stacey fuck are you asking about that. Is that a big thing?

: Yes. This way, we can consider then whether the mouth of

Cody the cup was poisoned or not. Imagine the poison was put at
this side and you drink using left hand, you won’t get
poisoned but if you drink it using your right hand, you will
hit the spot with the poison and die. (shows the mug)

: Alright, Cody. Pretend I didn’t ask that. (rolls her eyes)

Stacey
: So, does it mean that the cup was not the cause?
Ruby
: Apparently not. At least we knew that the cake was the main
Cody cause now

: The murderer must be someone who handled the cake. So, he

or she will have the chance to put the poison in the cake.
Stacey
: Honestly, who has been in contact with the cake? Who brings
it, who cuts it and who serves it?
Cody
: I was in the kitchen all the time, but I didn’t handle the
cake nor touch it.
Rose
: I brought the cake and served it.

Hannah : I cut the cake.

Jessica : Hence, the three of you have had made a contact with the
cake.
Cody
: Seriously!? You’re trying to say that I’m the freaking
murderer?!
Jessica
: At least you’re not wrong, Jessica. We're the ones who have
been near to the cake.
Hannah
: Then please clarify how can I be the suspect? I didn’t
touch it. (says calmly)
Rose : You were there, so it doesn’t exclude you from being the
suspect, honey.

Cody : How could you be accusing me as a suspect!

(Cody talks privately to Rose)

Rose
: No, I didn’t mean that. You know I love you, right? But I
need be a professional in settling this case. I am sure that
you are not guilty. I believe in you babe.
Cody
: Thanks honey. I know I can count on you.

Settings : Gather place

(Cody looking at the plate of the cake)

James : I know how the murderer did it! She just needs to keep the
“poisoned cake” for Grace and gave the cake to her. Periodt!
How come it be so difficult for you (Cody) to solve it?

Hannah : But there were two cakes on the plate. And 2nd slices were
eaten by Stacey. But nothing happened to her. That means the
second cake did not have poison. (in Cody’s note-if Stacey
didn’t eat it maybe the murderer waits for police report or
she eat it by herself)

: Why are there two cakes on the plate for the model like her?
James
: That’s what I’m talking about James. Maybe you should help
me rather than complaining. (sarcastic)
Cody
: Okay. I’ll be more behaved.

James : So why there are only two cakes left for Grace instead of
one?
Cody
: Rose asked me to cut the cake in 10 slices because it is
easier to make it same size. You know right, equality?
Jess
: So, where the other one slices? 7 of us and then 2 slices
for this plate and the other one?
Cody
: She ate it in while we were preparing it in the kitchen
(being sarcastic to jess)
Hannah
 : How is you eating the cake considered equal?

Cody (Jess laugh, pretending to be shy)

: Cody, how did the murderer know the cake would be eaten by
Grace? It just like the probability to kill her is not 100
Rose percent. With two cakes on the plate, how can he or she make
sure Grace took the right cake? Maybe the murderer didn’t put
her target on Grace? Because the cake can be taken by anyone.

: Are you trying to say that it is a random murder? So, the

murder is psychotic! We could die! We should leave! (panic)

Hannah : Hannah, relax. Let Cody do his job. Believe in him k? (Calm
Hannah down)

Chelsea (Cody still calm and thinking of something)

: I don’t think it is a random kill. The murderer really
wanted Grace to be the victim. Because if the murderer wanted
to make a random homicide, she or he could just put the poison
Cody into any of the cake slices that were served during the feast,
rather than putting the poison into the cake slices that we
kept for Grace.

: Maybe the murderer already put the poison inside the cake
slice when it was still in the kitchen and isolated it from
the rest of the slices.

James : But when Hannah served the cake, she just took two random
slices to be kept for Grace. If the murderer were really
targeting Grace, the probability for Grace to take the
poisoned cake is rather impossible.
Jessica
: So, the murderer might put the poison into Grace’s cake
after the other cake slices were served to all of us. I am
sure that he or she did this when no one was around.

: Yes. I thought so too. But the only question in my mind is

James
that how does the murderer is confident that Grace would take
the poisoned slice?

: If I were Grace, I would take the nearest cake to me.

Cody
: But I saw she took the furthest slice, not the one that was
at the front.

Chelsea : Yeah, I also saw that. She was indeed the center of
attention when she came in... (tries to hold back her tears)
Stacey
: Hmm.... (thinking) That might be something as well.

Settings : Gather place

(The clock scene)

(Cody thinks about something)

(Cody gets the idea)

ruby : Now the cake was cut evenly, it must have been magic, that
bloody trick fooled everyone.

Cody : Magic? Eyes?

(Cody runs towards the two remaining cake that was left for
Chelsea and James and pretend to arrange the cake or
something)

: I think I got it! I know how the murderer did it!

Cody

: You did!? How!?

Ruby
: First, we might know that this murder might be someone smart
Cody but he or she can’t hide their evidence. This might be his or
her first murder. Right now, we know there were poison in the
isolated cake, right?

: Yeah, that’s what you told to us before.

James
: But... (reluctant voice) I’m not sure, if I should do this
Cody
(Everyone was silent and worried)
(Cody left the room)

Scene 15 *Can cut if too long

Settings : Gathering place

James : What’s wrong with you dude? You cool?

Cody : I don’t know. I feel like I’m tearing apart. I can’t

describe it to you, James. You, out of all are incapable of
understanding me. (He wasn’t mad at James; he is just not in
the mood)

James : I’m not sure if you think I’m an asshole but if you do, I
will respect that. I’m sorry for not being a good friend to
 you all these times. Just, tell me if you need anything. I’ll
try to help.

Cody I’m not saying that. I’m... thinking.

Scene 16

Settings : Gather place

Cody : (take a deep breath) Okay now, we know the cake hasn’t been
poisoned when it came out of the kitchen because we ate the
cake, and we’re still alive. Except the 2 isolated slices that
were taken randomly by the victim, Grace. The murderer cannot
put the poison onto the cake before it was served to all, if
so, the murderer would commit a random homicide. Anyone could
die.

: yeah. Cody, do you know that you keep repeating yourself

James right now? How did he or she be so sure that Grace would take
the poisoned cake while Stacey would take the normal one?

: Exactly, it would be impossible to make sure Grace ate the

poisoned cake. Besides, Grace was unfortunate when she took
Stacey
the furthest cake slice.

: Yeah and though it was sliced evenly.

Hannah : That’s what normal people would say, but have you ever
thought that it might be cause of an optical illusion?
Cody
: Optical Illusion!?
Everyone
: How did a freaking illusion kill a person? Nonsense!
Jessica
: before that, James. Ruby, can you bring me the remaining
Cody cake of Chelsea and James on the table?

: What you’re gonna do with it? (rolls eye)

Ruby : Let’s just keep calm. Now, we are gonna repeat the situation
before.
Cody
: Here you go, Cody. (Hands it)
Ruby
: Can all of you please be in your positions when the murder
Cody scene occurred?

(Everyone moves to their position)

: Chelsea, you’ll pretend to be Grace, and James you’ll be me

just for a moment. Because two of you weren’t there when the
things happened. (Wait for Chelsea and James to take their
 place)
Cody Ok everyone ready?

: Yup

: What did Grace say before she took the cake? (While Cody
bring Chelsea to the cake on the table)
Everyone : She said she really misses us or something like that...

Cody : No, before that.

: She said she was on her diet.

Stacey
: Thank you, Hannah. Imagine if you were Grace, on diet but at
Cody the same time you value the memory that this cake holds, which
one would you choose? (At this time Chelsea look at Cody)
Hannah
: Because missing the nostalgic sentiment about the cake, I
would still eat it. But if I were on diet......(Chelsea slowly
Cody change her view to the cake and suddenly Ruby interrupt her)

: Wait, you’re not saying she’d choose the smallest one,

right?
Chelsea
: Yeah, that’s right. She took the smallest slice

: But the cake was cut in same size all the time. It would be
impossible.
Ruby
: Yeah, I thought so too. (Move her hand to take the cake and
focus at the cake) Fuck!? The cake behind is smaller from this
Cody side!

Jessica (Hannah and Jessica come near to the cake)

: How can it be? You did cut it in the same size, right?
(points at Jessy)

: Yes, they are the same size, Hannah. (glaring)
