PART 1
INTRODUCTION
This course enables students to develop knowledge to design, organize, implement and
evaluate training and development in organizations. This course will familiarize the students
about various tools and techniques available for making training and development more
effective

COURSE OBJECTIVES (CO)


The course aims at providing insights into:

 Introduction to the concept of employee training and development

 Training need assessment

 Preparing designs for training, identifying appropriate training methods and evaluation
of training

 Understanding employee development

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)


At the end of this course, students would be able to:
CLO1 - (Map with PLO 1): Understand overall framework of Training and Development and
its importance in organization
CLO2 - (Map with PLO 2): Understand the problem related to non-trained workforce and
thereby how to conduct training intervention in a planned manner for enhancing the
organizational performance
CLO3 - (Map with PLO 3): Analysing training need, developing the training design, use of
appropriate training method and evaluation of training for getting competitive advantages in
business

CLO4 – (Map with PLO 4): Effectively communicating the training benefits to all
stakeholders
CLO 5 – (Map with PLO 5): Differentiating between the issues of ethical and non-ethical
training

training content, training method, training resources, which will appropriately fulfil the

PART 3: SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION
* Project Details –

Project will be conducted in groups. Each group has to select a company of their own choice.
There are two objectives of the project:

I. On the basis of the available data on Training and Development, group has to prepare a report
on the training and development activities and training effectiveness of that company
II. Going by the training effectiveness analysis, group has to design an alternate training plan for
the same company
III. Comparative analysis should be incorporated in the project report
