“A Kid Again”
by Stanley Cristobal

The creaks of shoes as I go down the stairs, the river of white shirts and dark blue
jogging pants, and the conversation with my classmates as we speculate what we are going
to do outside of our safe classroom. As we leave the arch, we lose ourselves to the
overwhelming time we ran, jumped, and lost our breath. We played volleyball, and laughed
in our matching white shirts. We used our best running shoes with the mindset we'll be
faster, and a sea of blissful noises from the boys as they were being scolded by our nodding
teacher, from afar an ocean of water bottles sat in the corner, some empty and half full.
Physical education always stood out from our other subjects, often overlooked but
mostly full of joy, the rush was somewhat addictive, and we always longed for the
adrenaline spurt it came with. It reminds us to enjoy the outdoors as we yield ourselves
from our studies. It gives us a window to not have a sedentary lifestyle. Frankly, that's the
case for most of today's students. We find lasting friendships forged from the times we
practiced tiring but fulfilling performance tasks.
And from all of the things we've done, physical education has become instrumental
to our countless good memories from our high school experience, but as the bell rang. We
ran towards the bathroom to change and saw how much fun it was to go out and experience
the warm sun and comforting winds. We often don't realize that one hour of jumping,
laughing, and breathless moments wasn't enough to relieve our worries and tiredness from
our studies, but I did. For an hour, I felt as if the world made me breathe from the
suffocating deadlines. For an hour, I was a kid again. For a moment, I was elated .

“Exercise after raining”

by Vaneza Concepcion
After raining, I put my shoes and go in the garage to exercise, the cold
wind and water puddles on the ground makes it better to exercise outside. PE is an important
subject in my life and is the only subject I enjoy most in MAPEH. Sweating and doing physical
activities are fun while talking about the most random stuff with friends. Tired after exercise but
it is all worth it to keep a healthy body and lifestyle. Each step is useful for me, remind me of the
fun PE activities with our teacher and friends being entertaining and nice. All the joy and smiles
at those times we have physical activities are forever treasured. Badminton also my sport my
sport because the joy in hitting those shuttlecocks using the racket. Laughing because we miss the
shuttlecock when serving in badminton and the joy on our faces when it hits the other side of the
field. When the bell rings after class we rush to get our rackets and rubbershoes. Rushing down
the stairs to play and jog inside the campus. My friendship with my friends are healthy because of
jogging and physical activities because its our sport and exercise everyday.
