1) Capstone Project Summary:
In the box below, please type out a 200 – 300-word summary highlighting the key points and
information that you plan to present during your Capstone Project presentation.
Like I mentioned in the last proposal, I am doing a storyboard for a cartoon pilot, so what I plan on doing
to present it is on a PowerPoint. To start, I will begin on what I did before I began the Capstone project as
shown in the evidence & artifacts. After that, I will lay out all the extra processes I did on the screen on
how I constructed the project, such as building the setting, creating the characters, making rooms and new
backgrounds. Again, I will also show the applications I used like paint.net, Windows Movie Maker, and a
built-in voice recorder on Windows, with a possibility that I will also include applications that I did not use
to put it in perspective. I will show what hardware I got at what times to show stuff I did offscreen and
maybe talk some extra during the presentation to fill in some blanks. At the end of the presentation, I will
show as far as I got in the Capstone project, which is a storyboard and accompanying audio. I originally
wanted to do more with the project like have it be colored and have actual frames instead of stills, but
that would be too time consuming for the time I have. Animation takes a while, months on average.
2) Core Competencies:
In the boxes below, explain how your project or the work we’ve done in CLC 12 Class demonstrates
your abilities and skills from each section of the Core Competencies. (You must choose at least two
points from each skill area of the core competencies.) *This was also done in your Capstone Draft
Proposal, so if the skills and abilities still apply and have not changed, then you can copy and paste
your answers in the Final Capstone Proposal*
Core Competency: How you demonstrate it in your Capstone Project:
Personal Awareness & Self-determination sets a motion to complete my project as I intended
Responsibility since I want to do it my way. In self-regulation, I want to set deadlines for
when certain parts and realize multiple takes are required in drawing.
Social Responsibility Contributing to the community and caring for the environment by
creating my own designs and respecting other works. I can solve issues in
peaceful ways by thinking and strategizing through issues that may arise.
Critical Thinking By analyzing and critiquing my work, I can improve mistakes and show
why something might not work. Developing and designing my work can
show what I can do, using slight mods and think about progress.
Creative Thinking In generating ideas, things that cross my mind from things I look up
randomly, or things people talk about. I can develop ideas from objects
including older projects and work them into my current project.
Communication I can acquire, interpret, and present info in a meaningful way from
suggestions and showing my vision. I can explain/recount and reflect on
experiences and accomplishments showing previous similar work.
Personal & Cultural Identity Personal values and responsibilities from displaying what I enjoy and
value which relates to my choices. I can show personal strengths and
abilities by showing what I know through work and materials I have.
3) Presentation preparation:
In the boxes below, answer the following questions: What will you require from your teacher, what will
you need to bring and what still needs to be completed between now and your Capstone presentation
day?
a) What will you require from your teacher in order to do your Capstone presentation? (Ex: Laptop,
table, poster paper, projector, etc…)
All I will need from the teacher is an HDMI cable to connect my computer to the TV in the room. A speaker
is optional for this.
b) What will you need to bring in order to do your Capstone presentation?
I will only need to bring my laptop with a storage device, something I do on the daily.
c) What still needs to be completed between now and your Capstone presentation day?
I still need to finish the storyboard to a presentable state, like giving an idea on what the story is about, as
well as the audio for the storyboard. I have fallen behind on the project and need to catch up.
4) References and explanation of sources:
Please paste all your current list of sources along with a brief explanation of what you used them for in
your research. All these sources should also be listed on your website on your References page.
