Complete Blood Count

Mr. Mayur Parmar, a 29-year old male, had a complete blood count done at Crystal Lab on referral from Dr. Patil M.B.B.S. The results showed a hemoglobin level of 15 g/dL, within the normal range of 14-16 g/dL for males. The total white blood cell count was elevated at 5500/cu.mm, above the normal range of 4000-11000/cu.mm. Platelet count was high at 1550000/cu.mm, exceeding the normal range of 150000-450000/cu.mm. The red blood cells appeared normocytic and normochromic on peripheral blood smear.
