INTRODUCTION

Description of the Business

Seeing the uniqueness in a common raw material is the spark that ignited a business idea.

The CoCoNique enterprise begun its journey and started to take shape back in September 2022.

The business runs in a sole proprietorship structure. With coconut shell as the main component,

various products were envisioned and turned into reality. CoCoNique offers Co-shell in three

available variations. They mainly differ in cut proportions - Co-shell 1, 2, and 3 being uncut,

half-cut, and quarter-cut respectively. These variants were made to broaden the benefits that can

be attained on a single coconut shell. Many possibilities can also be derived from each variants:

co-shell 1 can serve as decorative balls and lanterns to adorn spaces, whether exterior or interior;

co-shell 2 can be used as diorama, art canvas, or containers such as bowls and pots; co-shell 3

can be utilized as a jewelery bowl, ashtray, and color palette. In the future, more variations of the

products will be visualized with raw material not just stemming from coconut shells but also in

other parts of the coconut tree such as the leaves and trunk. A single product equipped with

numerous purposes is what the CoCoNique enterprise strives to offer.


Location of the Business

Considering the proximity of target customers and foot traffic, the CoCoNique enterprise

stood its ground at Waltermart in Concepcion, Tarlac to ensure its accessibility to buyers.

Funding Requirements and Source of Funds

CoCoNique requires P26,000.00 as the start-up fund from the owner’s personal reserves.

This will be distributed for the following sectors:

Cash on hand: Php 3,500.00

Material: Coconut Shells Php 2,000.00

Equipment: Crafting Tool Kit Php 5,000.00

Sustainable Packaging Materials Php 300.00

Design Materials – Paint, Paint Brush, etc. Php 1000.00

Rent: First Two Month-Rent (with Utilities) Php 10,000.00

Fixtures Php 1,000.00

Permits Registration and Certifications Permits Php 3,000.00


DTI Business Name Registration Certificate Php 200.00

TOTAL: Php 26,000.00
