About the faculty

Dr Naren Rao is Professor of Psychiatry at


National Institute of Mental Health &
Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru. His areas
of interest are in Severe mental illness, Dementia
and neuroimaging, Self and consciousness

Dr Rishikesh Behere trained at NIMHANS, is a


former Associate Professor at Manipal University
and DBT Wellcome India Alliance Research
Fellow, Pune. His areas of interest are social
cognition and life course epidemiology of
neurodevelopmental disorders

Dr Girish Babu trained at NIMHANS and is a


Professor of Psychiatry at SDM Medical
College, Dharwad. His areas of interest are in
women's mental health and community and
rehabilitation psychiatry

The course coordinators are faculty from premier


institutes since 2008 and are passionate about
psychiatry training. They run a non profit online
learning portal.
