2 Local Problem in Our Community

This document discusses teenage pregnancy as a social problem in the local community. It provides data showing that teenage pregnancy rates have been increasing yearly among Filipino girls aged 12-19. Teenage mothers face higher risks of poverty, lower education levels, and family and housing difficulties compared to their peers. While groups and past efforts have tried to address the problem through sex education and birth control awareness, teenage pregnancy remains an ongoing issue. Broader solutions are needed, such as parents providing support and monitoring to help youth pursue their goals.
