4. Officer’s Meetings

Ethics is a prescribed manner human ought to do. The group discussed on how to
maintain ethics in communication in different situations and given here are the solutions that
we obtained.
Social media is a free platform where you can share your emotions, problems, and it
is where you can communicate with your loved ones. We must not disregard ethics on our
social media posts. In order to maintain ethics on social media posts we should know how to
distinguish moral and immoral acts. We have to communicate in an honest and open manner
to refrain from posting unjustified accusations or insult others. Use polite and proper words to
maintain a decent reputation.
In academic research, a researcher’s duty is to ensure that the research is being
conducted in an ethical and responsible manner. To maintain ethics during an academic
research, any problems or ethical issues should be discussed openly within the team. Having
ethical considerations in discussions within the team is having a healthy dialogue which you
will ensure the trust of each other.
The new norm in education nowadays is considerably more challenging than the
previous manner of studying. Some students no longer recognize what is morally right and
what is harmful to others. They sometimes forget the word respect especially during class
lectures and reports. Maintaining ethics in classroom lectures and reports the students must
respect their lecturers and classmates in online class just like they do in traditional education.
Listen when others speak and avoid interrupting them. Another way to maintain ethics in
communication during classroom lectures and reports is making sure that the students are
genuinely picking up new information from you as a lecturer.
In maintaining ethics in officers meeting using professionalism and following your
ethical standards will serve you well, especially in taking a big decision. Set boundaries
because if one officers make a harassing comment about other officers it is important that you
address the situation immediately. Also, in officers meeting you must avoid dishonesty when
you feel pressured by your co-officers to avoid mistakes and you must carefully explain the
truth about a situation.
To maintain ethics in news reports the reporters or journalists should give the citizens
an accurate information that they needed and they should verify if the data they gathered are
facts before reporting it. Ethical journalism strives to ensure the free exchange of information
that is accurate, fair and thorough. An ethical journalist acts with integrity.
