Purpose of the Study

This narrative study shows that these social media platforms can have a negative and

positive impact, particularly on the mental health and well-being of young users.

Teenagers need to understand the full impact of social media use by them, especially

the risks these services pose on their mental health. It focuses on the communication

process and examines the relationships among the media organizations and the target

audience. Media research focus is on the social and psychological aspects and effects

of the different mass media.

Research Questions

This study will be conducted to know and understand that social media can affect the

behavior of teenagers. This study seeks answers to the following questions:

1. What impact does social media have on teenagers self-esteem?

2. How does social media affect teenagers?

3. Is social media addictive?
