3.Presented in the temple on the 40th day

4. According to the Jewish tradition the law was learnt at the age of 12. He came to observe the
Passover when he was 12 years old and questioned the teachers.

5. According to the Jewish tradition he could be independent only after 30years.

So he was baptized at the age of 30 and began his ministry.

Matthew 3:16, 17

v16When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens
were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

v17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased.”

This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased

Mark 1:10, 11

v11 Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Pride of life

The devil quotes the scriptures and Jesus replied from the scriptures. Both knew the Bible throughly.
What about you?

The satan tried to turn the Son of God to the son of satan. Jesus condemned him saying "Away with you
satan!" Jesus Christ over came the three great temptations namely world, flesh and satan. But many
Christians are fallen into them.

Ephesians 4:27 nor give place to the devil.

James 4:7 Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

v45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving
spirit.

v46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.

v47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.

The first Adam who came from dust fell in the garden of Eden. Jesus Christ , the second adam who came
from heaven gained victory over Satan. His first victory over Satan when he began his ministry at the age
of 30. Complete victory over Satan on the cross at the age of 33. Both victories took place in Jerusalem.
So Jerusalem in God's city, Holy city, City of Ascension and City of second coming. Jerusalem the central
city of the world. Jesus Christ the mediator of the world.
