A. BASIC OF COMPETENCY

3.1 Applying social functions, text structures, and linguistic elements of spoken and written
transactional interaction texts that involve the act of giving and asking for information
related to causal relationships, according to the context of their use. (Note the linguistic
elements such that; so that).

4.1 Compose spoken and written transactional interaction texts that involve the act of
giving and asking for information related to causal relationships, taking into account social
functions, text structures, and linguistic elements that are correct and in context.

B. THE OBJECTIVE OF LEARNING

1. The students are able to express the expressions of asking and giving for information.
2. The students are able to write the sentences by using such that and so that.
3. The students are able to use such that and so that in the conversation.

1. The First Activity one

a. English teacher shows the video about the expressions of asking and giving for
information in the conversation.

c. English teacher asks the students to practice the conversation below!

B : I’m looking for information about visa requirements. What is the best way to find
information about visa requirements?
A: Well, may be you can find information on the internet, but the best thing to do is
go to the embassy of the country you want to go to.
B: Do you happen to know where the American embassy is?
A: It’s on Broadway Avenue , next to the Mac Donalds.

2. The Second Activity

a. English teacher asks the students to read the conversation below.

Dialogue 1

A: What did you do last day?


B: I watched the movie.
A: How was the movie?
B: It's such a great movie that I've watched it several times.

Dialogue 2
A: Why did not you go sailing?
B: It was so windy that I couldn't go sailing.

b. English teacher asks the students to write the conversation uses so that and such that.
E. EVALUATION

1. Exercises

a. Create a video about the conversation of expressions of asking and giving for
information and share it into Youtube channel!
b. Write the conversation uses so that and such that and practice it with your partner!
