At, Baystate Interpreters, Inc. we pride ourselves on the professionalism we deliver as a company. In order to
achieve the highest level of quality Performance and professionalism, we need your cooperation. Please
make sure that you are: Prompt Professional and Prepared (PPP) for all assignments that you cover for
Baystate Interpreters, Inc.

To elevate the professionalism of Baystate Interpreters and its staff, we would like to bring attention to the
following:
 Quality Performance:
* Staying in the Interpreter Role
* Timely arrivals- please make sure you are aware of the arrival policies at each location. Always be
15 min. earlier than scheduled, this will drive more business to you.
* Positive Feedback- Several location gather service information and report these items to their
personnel dept.’s. All arrival times, ID Badges, appearance, professionalism, etc. are reported.

 Professional Appearance- Business/professional dress is required. No jeans, sneakers, tank –tops,


sandals, etc. are allowed at any of the sites we service. Several items mentioned are requirements
that are regulated by the Department Public Health.

 ID Badges –Only Baystate Interpreters Id Badges must be worn to all appointments that you cover for
us, and must be clearly visible. If you don’t have one, please submit a picture ASAP (as soon as
possible). Digital images are acceptable, or you may have a passport style picture taken at your local
photo center. Badges are required at all medical facilities in MA.

*Please remain in your interpreter roles at all times. Please introduce yourself to the provider and patient
and let them know that everything spoken will be interpreted. Also the standard 1st personal singular
interpreting method should be used unless otherwise requested. We all have bad days but Interpreters
should make every effort to be courteous and polite at all times.

Late arrivals are not acceptable, and as such, it is your responsibility to make sure that you have all of the
information necessary to complete the check-in process and interpreting service efficiently. Please make sure
to have your appointment information available during our daily confirmation call.
