CORPORATE HR CIRCULAR NO. 922 / 2022

Sub: Modification in NTPC Medical Attendance & Treatment (MAT) Rules

1.0 NTPC Medical Attendance & Treatment (MAT) Rules were revised vide CHRC 877/2020
dated 02.01.2020. In terms of the extant NTPC MAT Rules, the employees are required to
bear 1% of cost in case of IPD treatment.

2.0 The above provision is also currently applicable in case of death of an employee wherein
the family of the deceased employee has to get the dues cleared from the hospital along
with submission of 1% IPD charges at the time of discharge.

3.0 In order to provide the required relief to the bereaved families of the deceased employees in
those difficult moments, it has been decided that in case of death of an employee, the above
provision requiring the bearing and deposit of 1% IPD charges shall not be applicable w.e.f.
01.01.2022.

This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
