Prerequisites:

ƒ cobas e 411 immunology analyzer


ƒ DVD-RAM drive
ƒ CD-ROM with the actual reference files, version 4.03 or higher burned by an
ISO file downloaded from the Grips server

Preparation of the reference files CD-ROM:


ƒ Download the Refer-dat update 4.xx.iso (xx = actual Refer Version number)
file from the Grips server
ƒ Burn the update CD with the Nero software
- select the Copy and Backup functions
- select the Burn Image to Disc function
- open the downloaded Refer-dat update 4.xx.iso file
- press the burn button

Installation of the new reference files


ƒ Place the update CD-ROM into the DVD-RAM drive
ƒ Perform the Read Reference Files – External function on the Utility-Storage
Utility screen.

ƒ Reboot the instrument by switching the instrument OFF and ON using the
main switch.
