1. Service & Operating Panels (SOP)
All operations and daily service is carried out with the help of SOP. To enter in SOP, press SOP button. A dialogue
box asks for Password. Enter Password as 2580. This is universal SOP password for all Diebold Nixdorf ATM. For
CS 280 RL Machine, you can touch OPERATING in rear sop panel.
In Rear loading machine, there is a display device like monitor in rear side called SOP. You can use SOP Panel
Keys and / or touch to operate. In front loading machine, consumer display (Monitor) is used as SOP. You can
use Pin Pad keys and / or touch to operate.
Just after pressing SOP button, ATM goes to next state called SUPERVISOR MODE. At Supervisor mode,
transaction cannot perform. To bring ATM again IN SERVICE MODE, you should have exit completely from SOP.
To enter in to required menu, you can select/ touch initial numeric code of the respective menu. You can select
EXIT or press CANCEL to return previous Menu.

10 TEST CASH (to perform a test dispense, dispense single note from each cassette to reject bin)

3. Daily Service
How to Add New Cash?
Enter SOP
Select 04 REPLENISH
Select 04 PRINT CNTRS, take the cash status receipt for verification
Select 05 CLR CASH
Open ATM Vault, Remove Cassettes and verify / count cash physically
Refill Cassettes with Cash (Face Down Orientation) and Insert. Do not fill more than 2000 notes in one
cassette. Do not insert empty cassette (cassette without cash).
Select 05 CLR CASH
Select 08 ADD CASH (After cash add, a receipt of new cash status will print).
Select 10 TEST CASH (Cash from each cassette will dispense to reject Bin).
Exit from SOP
Note:
✓ You may need to Unload / Load cash from Admin Card also (depending on Host).
✓ Do not add cash without clear. Every time, you have to clear cash before add.
✓ Before clear and add cash, cassette must have inserted.
✓ Use equal number of notes in both cassettes if two cassette of same denomination are used.
✓ Do not exchange cassette in between the cash refill period.
✓ Do not exchange the position of cassette in between refill period without clear cash.
✓ Do not insert unused/ new/ repaired cassette in between refill period without clear cash.

✓ In every refill, verify physical cash with ATM counter slip.
✓ Do not load more than 2000 notes in one cassette at a time.
✓ Do not mix fresh and used notes together randomly to avoid Maximum Reject. If there is fresh notes
and used notes, keep used notes in front and fresh notes at the last.
✓ Do not insert empty cassette (cassette without cash).
How to clear Captured ATM Card? (Applicable only for Motorized Card Reader)

If you have selected Power Down option, you have to press ON/OFF button to start ATM. If you have selected
reboot, ATM will restart automatically. You have to do nothing.
How to refill Receipt Paper / Journal Paper?
At the time of ATM installation, ATM Service Engineer will train you how to refill Paper. Thermal printer
needs thermal Paper and impact printer need normal paper.
How to open/ close ATM Vault?
At the time of ATM installation, ATM Service Engineer will train you how to open and change Vault Combination.
Basically for Analog combination lock, three numbers are set to open as:
First Number: 4 times Anti- Clockwise
Second Number: 3 times Clockwise
Third Number: 2 times Anti-Clockwise

Then rotate Clockwise, it you are using right number and way to open vault, the rotating disc should stop at
around 95. Use key and move handle to open vault.
For Digital Lock; press first set of 6 passwords, after that you will hear 2 beep sounds. Again press 2nd set of six
passwords. If you again here 2 beep sounds, rotate disc about 90 degrees clockwise until it stop. Use handles to
open vault.
To lock Vault, just rotate disc in zigzag direction.
4. Troubleshoot
At the time of ATM installation, ATM Service Engineer will train and make you practice to the common problem
and it’s troubleshooting.
You have to familiar with following ATM devices and their basic troubleshooting with the help ATM Service
Engineer:

5. View Journal logs and Snapshot
Journals are stored in C:\JOURNAL. If camera is used, storage location for camera is D:\ATMCAMERA. If you
want to copy logs manually, use Keyboard and mouse to copy file.
All Journal and snapshot record of transaction are shared over the Network. If your IT gives premises to sharing,
you can view, monitor and copy journal, snapshots and other logs if any from your PC. Use ATM terminal IP to
view shared files.
6. Check list at the time of cash refill/ daily service
a. Check camera status.
b. Check e-journal record.
c. Copy logs and camera storage for backup.
d. Perform diagnosis of each hardware and confirm all are functioning properly.
e. Refill only shorted and fresh notes.
f. Refill paper in printers if they are getting low.
g. Check UPS used for ATM, make sure there is proper long backup for ATM.
h. Check whether AC/Exhaust fan is working of not. If not, fix it as soon as possible.
i. Perform cash transaction after cash refill for confirmation.

7. Cash Loading Procedure
Nepali Currency has wider security thread that might result miss-pick and cash slip. Similarly, most of the notes
are face curved. So, there is standard orientation of cash loading for Nepali currency. For all kind of
denomination, Face Down orientation is mandatory. This is proven form CQT that Face down Orientation
minimizes 99% of cash jam issue.
• For optimum performance, do not load
more than 2000 notes in one cassette. Used notes in

8. Bank Note (Media) Quality Standards
This section describes the quality standards for the bank notes that are dispensed by the cassettes.
Although AFD2.0 dispenser can handle a wide range of media, optimum performance is related to the quality of
the media. Media that is not new but is acceptable for use in a dispense cassette is referred to as "fit" media. Fit
media can be used, but folds, tears, holes, and tape must be avoided. To avoid problems when the ATM
removes notes from the cassettes, do not fill the cassette with more than 2000 fit or 2400 new notes (these
quantities are based on Nepali currency).
The following conditions are not acceptable:
• Media joined by any means
• Media with staples or pins
• Media with sticky or adhesive substances
• Media repaired with tape
• Media with tears exceeding 13 mm (0.5 inch)
• Media with holes or missing sections
• Media that is excessively crumpled or wrinkled
• Media with a folded corner exceeding 13 mm (0.5 inch)
• Media that is bowed more than 3 mm (0.12 inch) in any direction
• Media that is deformed by prolonged storage
• Media that is extremely limp.
• Media that is folded under the stack during loading
Unacceptable media can jam the dispenser and results dispenser related issues during operation.
