research. Although the current study provides useful information about the financial stress and
literacy of the students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was a narrative, qualitative
research, which is limited by the small number of participants. The results of this study cannot be
generalized. A quantitative approach is suggested for future research to focus on more
participants that can join the study and gather more data about the struggles of students under
online learning.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The following recommendations are offered as possible ways to improve this study.
1. Using the data gathered from this research, use a quantitative method to gather more data
about the students' financial stress and literacy during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This
could establish the data about the extent and impact of financial stress and literacy to the
student.
2. Number of participants can be improved. More participants mean more accurate data.
3. It would be a great help to capture qualitatively the perspectives and opinions of research
partners who have different or mixed experiences.
4. Include teachers and other staff in the next study, to know their experiences and thoughts
about how they handle their students financial stress and literacy during the COVID-19
pandemic.
5. Face to face interviews if possible, if not, virtually meeting the participants for an
interview should be adapted. The use of google forms for interviews should be avoided as
much as possible because the participants' answers are limited/ they can’t express their
thoughts well.
6. Improve the topic that can be beneficial to many. Since this research focuses on the
students only, it is limited and may not be generalizable to people who are not on the
same level as the students. Parents and teachers who are also affected in having a
financial stress and literacy can be the focus of the study.
7. Approach the participants as soon as possible as the interpretation process consumes
more time.
8. Set schedules in doing each part of the study for better time management.
9. Seek help from research advisers to correct or avoid mistakes.
