In this article I will describe you, How to Install and configure WEBLOGIC Server with Oracle 11g Fusion
Middleware “Forms and Reports” on Microsoft Window 7 Professional 32-bit.
First of all you need to install Oracle WEBLOGIC Server. Below mention snapshots easily defines the
configuration’s steps of Oracle WEBLOGIC Server.
Select the folder where setup file is copy. Click to run setup.

After executing setup file you’ll see screen as same as the below mention snapshot.

After the last screen, Welcome screen appears. Click NEXT to move.

Now, Choose Middleware Home screen appear. Is up to user to define directory or use default
mentioned Directory. Click NEXT after deciding directory.

Registry of security updates Screen appears
After uncheck, a message occurs, don’t worry just click YES and move forward by pressing NEXT.

Now choose installation type, which is already chosen as TYPICAL. Click NEXT to forward.

Now choose product installation directories, which are not recommended. Just note down the
mentioned directories path and click NEXT to forward.

Choose Shortcut Location (Recommended “All Users”). Click NEXT to forward.

In “Installation Summary”, you’ll see all the products and JDKs will be install after clicking NEXT button.

Now Installation starts.

If “Run Quickstart” is un-checked then no other screen will appear. Else, After completion of
installation, “Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse” window appears which is currently not for use. Just
close this window and move forward for Oracle Forms & Reports installation.

For Oracle Forms and Report s installation extract the folder and move to disk1 folder to run setup.

When setup runs, Black CMD window appeared wait till installation wizard starts.
Step 1 of 15 “Welcome Screen”. Click Next to begin.

Step 2. Install Software Update. Click on Skip software updates and then Click NEXT to move on.

Step 3- Oracle Forms & Reports Installation. Select "Install Software - Do Not Configure" option and click
NEXT. Don't configure at this stage because 11.1.1.2.0 has compatibility issues with WEBLOGIC Server

Step 4-Prereuisite Checks. Click NEXT.

Step 5- Specify Installation Location. Oracle Home Directory path is user defined, change it with
“DeveloperSuite” (If Required).

Step 6- Specify Security Updates. Uncheck Security updates.

Step 7- Installation Summary. Click INSTALL for further process..

Now move on for Configuration and for this you need to select the "Configure Classic Instance" from
"Start -> All Programs - > Oracle Classic 11g - Home1" Menu.
After Clicking on "Configure Classic Instance" some screens are appeared like:

Step 1 - Welcome Screen. Click NEXT to start the wizard.
Step 2 – Configuration Type. Select “Configure For Deployment” and click NEXT.

Step 3 – Specify Security Updates. Uncheck security updates and click YES.

Step 4 – Installation Location. Oracle Instance Location’s folder name & Oracle Instance Name are user
defined. Change it with “FormsRuntime” (If required). Click NEXT.

Step 5 – Select Domain. Set Username & password. Also set Domain Name (User Defined).

Step 6 – Configure Components. Click on “Oracle Forms & Reports 11g R2” to select all.

Step 7 – Configure Port. Select “Auto Port Configuration”. Click NEXT

Step 8 – Specify Proxy Details. Select “So Not Use Proxy Settings”. Click Next.

Step 9 – Application Identity Store. Uncheck “Use Application Identity Store”.

Sometimes an error occurred when configuration progress reached at 88% because of failure of
“Restarting managed server WLS_FORMS”, Relax Don’t worry, In that Case, just close setup and restart
your system and do further steps skipping step 12 .
Step 12 – Installation Complete. After Configuration progress reached successfully to 100%.
Oracle Forms and Reports 11g is configured successfully.

For Configuration of network between DATABASE and Developing/WEBLOGIC Kit, copy TNSNAMES file
from following path “<drive> :\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\tnsnames.ora”.
Now paste it to “<drive>:\oracle\Middleware\FormsRuntime\config\tnsnames.ora”

Now Restart the server system and activate services in ordering form for WEBLOGIC server or for Forms

and Reports Development.
For Forms Development start only WLS_FORMS services from start panel.

For Reports Development start only WLS_REPORTS services from start panel.

For Reports Development start WEBLOGIC Server as well as OPMN managed server services from start
panel.

And then start OPMN Managed Components .

Now Open FORM BUILDER from start menu and set RUNTIME > Application Server URL.
First go to on Menus option select Edit > Preferences > Runtime > Application Server URL
Then set your pc name or IP (if static) and port “8888”. E.g.
http://PCNAME:8888/forms/frmservlet
