NOTES:

When it installs it asks for a path to install it in, I recommend creating a


Battlefield 2 folder manually
first and then select that one or it will put some files in your "Program Files
(x86)" folder.

This version of game is 1.5 playable Online or in Single Player.


After full installation is done you need to patch it and install the punkbuster.
This version doesn't include "special forces dlc" but none of the populated servers
runs that anyway.
You must go to the folder "4. Revive Multiplayer" and follow the instructions there
in order to play online.
If game reply to you "Your CD-Key is invalid" ,that server does not accept no-steam
players.
Once you have been connected to a server that server is added automatically to your
Favorites as history,
just go to your Favorites from menu, select server and click Make Favorite.

IMPORTANT:

How to change CD-Key:


after you install game a file is created on your install directory called
bf2reg.reg. Open this file with Wordpad and find the lines :
>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ergc]
@="x9392XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX"

you can modify line @="x9392XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" to any words you want but
YOU MUST KEEP AT BEGINING LINE @="x9392

Example @="x9392-1234-5657-890P-ORTO"

Save file, Merge to registry and you have a new unique key (double click the file
"bf2reg.reg" after you
made your own unique key to merge to registry)

Tip: Usually most populated servers are patched to accept no-steam players.
