• SCOR was developed by Supply Chain Council (SCC)
• SCC : Independent, not-for-profit entity organized in 1996 by:
• Global management-consulting firm, Pittigilio Rabin Todd & Mc Grath and
• Market research firm, Advanced Manufacturing Research (AMR), USA
• SCC Objective : “To develop a standard supply chain process reference model
enabling effective communication among the supply chain partners” by
• Using standard terminologies for better communication
• Using standard metrics to compare and measure their performances
• Started with 69 voluntary companies
• ASCM (Ex-APICS) established in 1957
• ASCM offers CPIM, CSCP, CLTD credentials
• Present ASCM SCC SCOR Model – after merger of ASCM & SCC in 2014
