CONDITIONS GOVERNING SELECTION AND DEPUTATION OF
STUDENTS FOR DEGREE IN AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES
1. The candidates should apply in the prescribed proforma.
2. The candidates should be resident of Goa for minimum period of 15
years.
3. Selection of Candidates:
A. Selection of Candidates for B.Sc (Agri / Hort): The selection will be based
on marks obtained at ICAR- AIEEA Examination 2022 and weightage would
be given as below:
a. Student coming from agricultural family having land in his/her name or in name
of his / her parent or paternal parent as seen in land index form I & XIV for B.
Sc. (Agri.)/(Hort.) - 10 points.
b. Student holding NCC “B” or “C” certificate or NSS with aggregate 240 hrs.
- 2 points
c. Student who have participated in inter collegiate games/sports - 2 points
d. B.Sc. degree holders seeking admissions to undergraduate degree in agriculture
or allied subject - 6 points.
e. Maximum added points - 20 points
B. Selection of Candidates for B.Tech (Agril. Engg): The selection of
candidates shall be made under Common Admission Procedure of Directorate
of Technical Education, Alto Porvorim, Goa based on score obtained in
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in GCET 2022.
4 Non- Creamy layer certificate in case of O.B.C. candidates should be
attached.
5 The preference to UG Course and category to which students apply
should be clearly specified in the application form.
6 The selected candidates will have to make his/her own arrangements
for stay at the Institution of studies either through hostel or their
own.
7 The selected candidates should make their own arrangements for
travel from Goa to the college of studies.
8 The candidate should attach the self attested photocopies of the marks
list of XIIth Science, school leaving certificate, the residential
certificate, birth certificate, Adhar card and other certificates as
applicable.
9 The candidates shall produce the original certificates when
demanded.
10 The selected candidates will have to convey his/her acceptance of the
selection on or before the last day indicated on the notice of the merit
list.
11 The selected candidate will pay all his tuition fees, hostel fees,
and deposits as applicable to the students on his/her own after the
final selection and admission to the College.
12 The selected candidate will have to furnish a Security Bond of
Rs. 2,000/- to this Directorate in form of Demand Draft drawn on any
Nationalized Bank payable at Panaji in the name of Director of
Agriculture, Caranzalem to affirm his/her candidature at the time of
acceptance.
13 The security deposit of the candidates will be forfeited in fav our of
the Government for his/her failure to report to the college within the
stipulated time or for abandoning the study in the middle of year.
14 The security deposit will be refunded to the applicant after
successful completion of the studies duly supported by a letter from
the college of studies to that effect.
15 The candidates will be required to undergo medical fitness test as
directed by the college of studies.
16 The selected candidates will have to abide to all the terms and
conditions of admission, study, behavior, discipline, etc., as specified
from time to time by the college and the Directorate of Agriculture,
Goa. The selected candidates will have to execute bond on
Rs.100/- non-judicial stamp paper affirming to adhere to these
conditions.
17 The students interested in seeking admission for B.Sc (Agri)/ B.Sc
(Hort) should apply to Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhavan,
Tonca Caranzalem.
18 Candidates desirous to seek admission for B.Sc(Agri)/ B.Sc (Hort) for the seats
reserved for the Goan students should answer the exam conducted by ICAR, All
India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) during 2022. Students are
advised to visit www.nta.ac.in, http://icar.nta.ac.in websites as and when made
available for registration for ICAR- AIEEA(UG) Course 2022
19 The students interested in seeking admission for B.Tech (Agril. Engg)
should apply to Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim.
20 The last date for submission of completed application form to the
Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhavan, Tonca, Caranzalem, Goa is
15/07/2022
21 The list of the eligible candidates as per the merit will be displayed
on the Departmental notice board and will be uploaded on
departmental website www.agri.goa.gov.in, which may be verified by
applicant.
22 The list of selected candidates( discipline wise) will be displayed on
departmental notice board/ up loaded on departmental website
www.agri.goa.gov.in and conveyance of acceptance from any of the
selected candidates if not received within stipulated time, offer to next
reserved candidates will be considered
23 Display of subsequent lists will be on departmental notice board/
announced on departmental website.
24 It may be noted that no individual letter will be send to selected
candidates. It is responsibility of the candidates to see the
departmental notice board or website.
25 After completion of admission formalities the students should immediately
submit a copy of admission fee receipt to this Directorate, for release of
stipend.
