authentic products.

Hope our little effort serves as an enriching

experience for you to dive deeper into a world of

skincare venture in India with our
own farms and research lab, we

OUR ETHOS

Transparent Pure Responsible

Importance of Skincare

What we often fail to realise is that skin is the

largest organ of the body and the first line of
defence that protects our organs. It is our shield
against the outside world and also a true
reflection of our inner health as per Ayurveda.

It is essential to form rituals and practices that
help you understand your skin and treat it the
right way on a daily basis!

Beauty & skincare rituals

actually help in promoting self
love, self confidence and a positive
relationship with ourselves. It is
not something that we do for our
vanity or just to look our best but
as we take care of ourselves we do
so of our surroundings too!

FEEL

BEAUTIFUL
Why Clean Beauty?

Our skin absorbs anything

between 10-80% of what is
applied to it and hence the
components in products
that it comes in contact
with, go directly into the
bloodstream. What we
apply to our skin should be
good enough to put inside
our body as even in tiny
amounts these chemicals
can have a huge impact
on our heath and hormonal
balance.

Our Tip : Read the

Labels, look out

ingredient list

( see the first 3-4 ingredients to know what
composes the bulk of the product

It is crucial for us to understand what goes into our products

and take steps towards Safe, Clean and Responsible beauty.
Due to improper inspections & less strict regulations, a lot of
brands get away with not sharing their entire ingredient list
and share only the key ingredients -managing to hide several
synthetics chemicals, harmful toxins and preservatives.

STAY AWAY FROM: SILICONES, PARABENS, MINERAL OIL,
SULPHATES, PHTHALATES, ARTIFICIAL FRAGRANCES.
Why Oils?

 Did you know?

’sneha’, the Sanskrit word for oil, also means love.

OIL = LOVE

And we at RAS believe in the powers of Oils to
make us look & feel Radiant.

We use Oils because of their

At our farms we extract 100% pure
oils and formulate them in
wonderful ways to provide effective
skin solutions with these beauties!

Packed with Antioxidants,

Vitamins and Essential Fatty Acids. Oils are
Superfoods and Bio-Compatible with your skin
naturally! They work by replenishing the lipid
barrier - which holds our skin cells together.
Note: Oils & essential oils are highly adulterated by middlemen
(Common adulterants clue - mineral oils & waxes, palm oil & solvent
extracted vegetable oils). It is important to get your oils from authentic
& trusted sources.
Do you know your Skin Type?

Did you know its so important to choose products as

dehydration, discolouration & wrinkles can actually
become worse if you’re not using products as per
your skin type.

Whether it’s a cleanser, face serum, toner or spritz,

make sure the ingredients are compatible for your skin

a regular basis and see how it feels when you use

Face Massage for everyone

The face has over 40 muscles, so massaging the face is

not just good for applying products, but also for moving
energy, addressing sinus issues, and reducing puffiness
by encouraging lymphatic drainage.

BENEFITS OF A FACE MASSAGE:
• Improves blood circulation in the face: It increases
microcirculation, enhancing blood flow to the face, which can
make your skin look brighter and feel firmer.
• Helps with headaches: Since the fingers move firmly over
the skin and give a deep tissue massage, it helps in relieving
headaches as well.
• Decreases puffiness and improves muscle tone by
stimulating lymphatic drainage.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS WHEN YOU USE OUR FACE
ROLLER:
• Cools and soothes your skin. If you store your roller in the
refrigerator it’ll cool the skin on contact. This can quickly de-
puff your skin and reduce the appearance of pores.
• Doesn’t tug away your skin: Manual massaging with
fingers can be sometimes harsh on your skin because we might
press or rub it too hard. Rollers evenly distribute pressure and
product on skin in a gentle way.

• Improves mood: Stones have a healing effect on our
minds as well. For example, jade helps remove negative
energy, and rose quartz promotes self love & healing.

• Distributes skincare product. Rollers are typically used with
an oil or moisturiser to help the tool glide across your skin. We
believe this process can deliver product deeper into your skin.
Your Skincare Routine
Yes, your skin loves a routine, and so will you - with simple
steps for a more vibrant, healthy and renewed complexion. Try
and include natural and effective steps into your regime!

The first step to any facial care regimen is to start with a clean
and pristine base. Use a non-stripping sulphate-free
cleanser for your skin type. You can also use powder based 1
cleanser like Polish up Face Cleanser.

We all know that adequate hydration is integral to the

2 optimal functioning of our cells. Our Face Mist & toners
lends to skin soothing, mending, toning and pH balancing.

Take 2-3 drops of our Face Elixir: warm it up to activate the
components, take in a deep inhalation of the essential oils
and gently press and dab onto your skin and massage in
3
upward strokes - this leads to a natural emulsification of
water and oil and seals in the moisture.

Use a Face Roller or Gua sha for 5-10 minutes and

4 enhance the product penetration into your skin.

If you use any water/gel based serums use it before the face
elixir and any heavy moisturisers/ balms can go after the
elixir - the key is to go from lightweight to heavy
formulations.
Use a sunscreen if you’re going under direct sun exposure

PM ROUTINE - Cleanse, Tone & Nourish.

Follow steps 1 - 4 as above. For extra self-love use an oil to
cleanse heavy make up and follow up with a cleanser - (dry skin
types can wash their face only once ( at night ), Apply butter on
dry patches of skin, cuticles heels & elbows.

Use a hot towel compress, exfoliate & mask your face 1-2
times a week
DIY ? Yes or No

Staying at home has made us rediscover old recipes and kitchen

hacks to take care of our concerns. Doing it yourself is great - but
only if you know what you are doing.

Here are some guidelines for DIYing:

1. Make sure you use fresh ingredients and don’t store them for
more than a day (make small batches)
2. Make sure the ingredients suit your skin type - e.g gram flour
can be drying for dry skin types, milk/cream can aggravate
acne, fresh fruit extracts can sensitise acne, lemon can disrupt
skin pH balance if left on skin for long.
3. Don’t use comedogenic oils such as coconut, marula if you
have combination to acne prone skin.
4. Don’t overdo it - keep it minimal and simple - Add our Rose
Nectar Face Spritz for a soothing anti inflammatory effect to
your masks and also a drop of the Face Elixir to pack in all the
nutrients.
5. Do not use any essential oils directly on your skin - they are
only meant to be used after dilution in a base (2-4 drops in
1tsp/5ml of carrier oil)
6. Make sure you patch test your DIY creation on your inner
arm before applying on your face.

Body Massage

The ancient practice of self-massage

(Abhyanga) with oil is a staple of the
Ayurvedic lifestyle, and it makes for luxuriously
soft, elastic, and hydrated skin.

Self-massage with oil supports the pathways
of detoxification to help keep the skin
healthy and clear. It also promotes inner
radiance by calming the nervous system,
lubricating and rejuvenating the deeper
tissues of the body, and encouraging healthy
circulation.

Anointing the body with oil is a profound act
of loving self-care that benefits both the
physical body and also relieves emotional
stress. With added essential oils, they help

Lets Care for our Hair!

The head is the most significant part of the body. It

encompasses eight vital openings—the eyes, ears,
nose, mouth, and one principal opening, the crown
of the head. There are also vital energy points over
the entire head that connect to the brain and the
mind including the subconscious.

In Ayurveda, the
anatomy and physiology
of the body is categorized
into seven main tissue
layers, or ‘dhatus’. The Hair health is
hair is considered an affected by blood
outgrowth of bone tissue, circulation & liver
or asthi dhatu. Thus, health as it
supporting healthy bone contributes to
growth from inside
tissue is one important
out. Hair condition
way to support healthy also depends on the
hair. strength of digestion
and absorption of
nutrients in the body.
Stress and sleep issues also lead to hairfall issues. While
excess sun and free radicle exposure causes dullness and
makes hair brittle.
Why Massage your scalp?

Massaging the scalp and roots of your hair with oil

not only invigorates the tissues, strengthens the
roots, and supports blood flow, but also invokes a
deep sense of relaxation and grounding.
Incorporate this deep treatment into your home
spa ritual.

Deep Weekly Hair Treatment: Fill the cup of your palm

with 4-5 pumps of oil. Dip the fingers of your other
hand into the oil and massage your scalp with your
fingers. Repeat this until your entire scalp is covered
with a thin layer of oil. Use the remaining oil in your
palm to coat the length of your hair with oil. Let the oil
sit for up to twenty minutes, or you may choose to leave
it in your hair over night/

Light Everyday Hair Treatment: This treatment is

focused on the length of the hair and the ends of the
hair, which will save them from becoming dry and
brittle.
After your shower, while your hair is still damp, take a
small, dime-size amount of oil into your palm. Rub your
hands together and run your fingers through the length
of your hair and the ends of your hair.
What to use on Hair?
Our scalp is an extension of our facial skin, we keep
stripping it of its natural oils each time we shampoo and
forget to replenish it!

Applying herbal high quality oils to the head and
massaging into the scalp is a traditional Ayurvedic
practice that has been used for hundreds of years to
maintain a thick, lustrous head of hair.

Additionally, essential oils like Rosemary, peppermint
and Jatamansi have proven to stimulate and strengthen
hair follicles.

Other tips: Use gentle washes for your hair, if you have a
dry scalp and haven’t ventured out you can avoid
washing your scalp. Condition just the lengths of your
hair. Use cold water to seal in moisture. Oil/Mask (with
moisture rich, nourishing ingredients) your hair at least
once a week!

 Our Luscious Treatment

formulated with a blend of
infused plant-based oils, herbs
and essential oils. This multi-
tasking hair treatment solves all

An Inside-Out Approach

Glowing, radiant skin is actually an inside-out approach

and a result of our lifestyle choices.

Routine:

When the body becomes accustomed to—and learns to
count on—a daily routine that includes things like
adequate rest, appropriate exercise, satvik diet and a
nourishing spiritual practice, the nervous system can finally
begin to relax.

Exercise,Yoga & Meditation:

These practices help align your body, mind and soul.

Rest & Sleep:

Deep rest is fundamental to mental recovery and hormone
regulation. Yes its true what they say about beauty sleep,

7-8 hours is a must!

Food & Nutrition:

Water intake along with skin friendly, non-inflammatory
foods and a balanced diet will get you shining in the long
term. Avoid smoking as it degenerates your skin rapidly.
Try and be as vegetarian/vegan as possible.

It may seem like a lot, but as you make each change, one
step at a time you will feel the shift towards better energy,
better health & better well being !

Radiate beautifully inside-out!

Exercise &Yoga

The right exercise increases oxygen supply & blood

circulation in skin while getting rid of toxins in your
body. It also helps improve your skin tone and
prevents pre-mature ageing.

Helping lower stress and balancing hormones -
exercise is something you must include in your routine.

Yoga helps harmonise internal organs and makes our
bodies more resilient. Coupled up with deep stomach
breathing (this is the correct way of breathing: by
expanding your stomach, not chest, when you breathe
in & contracting your stomach when you breathe out)
and pranayama, you provide more oxygen to your
lungs and blood stream.

Some effective yoga
poses for radiant skin
include: The Bow Pose
(Dhanurasana), Fish
Pose (Matsyasana),
Triangle pose
(Trikonasana), Plough
Pose (Halasana), Cobra
Pose (Bhujana asana).

Sleep & Meditation

Chronic stress and sleep deprivation have a very

negative impact on your skin leading to premature
ageing, increased dark circles and dull skin.

To manage stress and personal development
meditation is a wonderful tool. Some minutes of
meditation everyday can make you feel a lot more
aware, calm and connected with yourself (The
thumb rule is meditate for as many minutes as your
age). Focus on the things that matter, but don’t
stress or attach yourself to the residual emotions
of past incidents.

A special note from

our Founder,
Whenever you feel
disoriented or all over the Shubhika
place, bring your
awareness to your
breath & notice every
inhalation & exhalation.

With each incoming breath, visualise and feel your
entire being becoming more positive & light.

With each exhalation, visualise and feel any
negativity or something you want to change e.g
procrastination, any illness leaving you.

Gratitude

Gratitude is a very powerful tool - how we feel
about ourselves and our surroundings actually has a
huge impact on our lives. Start accepting yourself
and that will help you feel more positive towards
your skin.

During your rituals you can also say some daily
gratitudes (eg. as soon as you wake up), think of
things that you are thankful for. It is also an
amazing and rewarding practice to journal your
thoughts and your day!

Some everyday gratitudes:

1. I am capable of amazing things.
2. I love my skin.
3. I am thankful for the people in my
life.
4. Body, I love you.
5. I am unlimited.
6. I am safe, protected and loved.
Skin Foods
For better absorption of anything we eat we must have water
vitamin D3, omega fatty acids, Vitamin A, C & E, antioxidants,
calcium, trace minerals and healthy fats in our bodies!

Foods to definitely add to your diet are spinach, flaxseeds,
pumpkin seeds, nuts, legumes, bell peppers, citrus fruits &
berries along with fibre rich oats, millets, apples, beetroot,
broccoli and spices like cumin, turmeric & cinnamon.

As Indians we are blessed to have a range of superfoods,
seasonal foods naturally in our diet, so lets make sure we have
them!

Oily Skin
MUST HAVE: Raw salads
and juices, 2-3 litres of
Dry Skin
water everyday.

Some messages of Love & Guidance

“In today's world skin care is extremely important, specially since

we have so many brands that are filled with chemicals that can
actually cause further disruption to health and skin. Whatever you
put on the skin gets absorbed in the system affects another parts of
the human body. So it is extremely important that we explore
nature and we are derive the best ingredients from nature and put it
together prioritising human health and sustainability of the
environment.

Our skin is extremely important for health, it’s one of the
detoxification organs and it is very very necessary to keep our skin
healthy and everyone is unique and different kinds of skin and
hence they need different kinds of skincare. You can’t just look at
skin care alone using cosmetics, you have to also to look at the
nutrition you feed your body, kind of exercise, blood circulation,
quality of your sleep and your emotional wellness, stress levels and
negativity.”

- Luke Coutinho, Celebrity nutritionist & holistic health expert

“RAS for me has become an addiction as it’s pure and has a

beautiful aroma !! No matter what moisturiser I use I always
dap few drops of RAS Face oil to get that deep hydration or
just the face oil is perfect.. also addicted to massage oil as they
are divine !!! Great job RAS”
Neetu Kapoor, Actor

“I have always believed in seeking to enhance beauty

from inside out. It’s more important to feel beautiful than
look beautiful. And to feel beautiful, one needs to feel in
control of one’s overall health.
A tip: For any change that one wishes to manifest, the
rule is to begin slow, go steady, and listen to your body.”
- Shagun Khanna, Skincare expert & Clean beauty advocate
“Taking care of your – skin and soul – by keeping your inner
goddess alive and kicking is an infinite journey. Skin positivity ,
like I always maintain , is not about feeling forcefully positive
about your present skin state , but accepting it the way it is. If
there are times when our skin is misbehaving, it’s breaking out,
it’s acting up in ways which makes us feel uneasy, in those
moments we should accept that my skin is not feeling good. How
can I ease it? The first step in being comfortable in your skin is
owning it.”

- Aparrna Gupta, Beauty & Wellness expert

“I believe beauty rituals are about more than just vanity – they
are important not only for your skin, but also your mind. The
five - ten minutes you spend applying lotions and potions give
you some much-needed 'me time' – it's your uninterrupted time
with yourself. Plus, it's a calming exercise, an added feel-good
factor.
Though mornings are hurried, I love ending my days with a
quick facial massage; I use a chilled facial roller and a face serum
or oil (depending on what my skin needs) – it's a little treat to
myself to wrap up a long day.”

- Hena Desai, Senior Beauty Editor, Grazia

“Beauty as an aspiration and inspiration will continue to grow

in the near future. With more and more following a ‘natural’
‘organic’ lifestyle, the same trend will reflect in the choice of
oils, skincare and overall beauty. ‘Farm to skin’ will be the new
mantra for skin care as a category. ‘Natural’ is set to win ! RAS

“Shielding yourself with natural goodness is what your

biggest well wisher would want for you. Mother Earth,
Mother Nature, Our Magna Mater is capable of so much
healing. From plants and herbs that can erase the existence of
a number of diseases and concerns, it also has the power to
shield your wellbeing, just as a mother would.”

- Nikita Upadhyay, Author Roots to Radiance (an excerpt)

“I came across RAS Luxury products more than a year ago at

Luke Coutinho's bazaar. Being a beauty therapist myself, I was
drawn to the brand at first sight and feel. I always try need
products on my skin first before recommending them to my
clients.
The lightness of the oil is what I liked. One can use it during
the summer months as well. After 15 days of using it regularly,
my skin felt a lot more supple. I then got a range of their
products to do a facial. The products are light, penetrate easily
into the skin and lightly fragranced. I went ahead and
recommended it to clients. I got a very good feedback. The
products are suited for all skin types and concerns.”
