1. What proof did the policeman find in the music sheets?
Ans- In the music sheets the policeman found ADA GAFEA, the name of the
wealthiest woman in Brussels who lived on the Rue de BACACCE. She was
robbed at gunpoint. Her name and address were in the music sheet.

2. What rewards and recognitions did Sandip receive?


Ans- The Belgium police department sent a special letter of thanks to Sandip.
The Les Cabochons jewellery shop in Brussels sent him a diamond-studded gold
tie-pin shaped like a tiny violin. From Antonio Sacherinni, there was a surprise
gift too---a beautiful, very expensive violin.
On the same day Sandip thrilled to see his name and photograph on the 1st page
of the newspaper, though his sister, Gayatri's name appeared on page 6 as one
of the winners of the Maths Olympiad.
In such a way Sandip received the rewards andrecognitions.

1. Mention any 2 instances from the story that show Sandip’s
undying love for music.
Ans– a. He once forgot that he had turned on the tap to fill a bucket and
looked only mildly surprised when he put his violin down and realized he was
standing ankle-deep in water in his bedroom.
b. When his uncle Shekhar told him to come to Criminologist Conference
where he would let him to meet Antonio Sacherinni, the famous Italian
violinist. He was so delighted and agreed immediately and next evening
Sandip arrived early at the World Criminologist Conference.
