UNIT – I
1 a Classify the network elements and also explain ideal and practical sources. K2 CO1 [7M]
b Calculate the effective resistance between the points A and B in the circuit K3 CO1 [7M]
shown in figure.

2 a Find the branch currents and mesh currents for a given circuit using mesh K3 CO1 [7M]
analysis

b Define following terms tree, twigs, links, Connected graph, and orientation K2 CO1 [7M]

UNIT – II
3 a Prove that the average power in capacitive circuit for complete cycle is zero K3 CO2 [7M]
b To the circuit shown in Fig. consisting a 1 kkΩ resistor connected in series K3 CO2 [7M]
with a 50 mH coil, a 10 V rms, 10 kHz signal is applied. Find impedance Z,
current I, phase angle Ɵ,, voltage across resistance VR, and the voltage across
inductance VL

b A series RLC circuit with R = 10 ohms, L = 0.4 H and C = 50 µF has applied K3 CO3 [7M]
voltage of 200V with variable frequency. Calculate the resonant frequency,
current at resonance, voltage across R, L and C. Also calculate the Q
