The following steps describe the procedure for updating TP-LSMULTI-SDK-supported


scanners with a new firmware file.

The pathing will depend on the installation. The instructions will use the term,
[INSTALLDIR], to refer to the root path selected when originally installing the
software.

Step 1. If running an L-1 Identity Solutions TouchPrint application, the system


must
be booted with the scanner attached and perform a maintenance exit.

Step 2. Invoke [INSTALLDIR]\Tester\Firmware\FirmwareUpdate.exe.

Step 3. Select the appropriate firmware filename (see list above), and press
"StartUpdate". Do not disconnect or otherwise interrupt the update
process,
as this could render the device inoperable.

Step 4. Verify that the "Current Version" has been updated with
the version number which matches the firmware file.

Step 5. Exit the application

Special Instructions When Updating AgileTP from Firmware Versions Earlier
than v1.10:
Updating the firmware from any version earlier than v1.10 to any newer
version on an AgileTP device is a two step process. First the firmware
will need to be updated to v1.10, and then it may be updated to the
most current firmware version. Any attempt to go directly to the most
current firmware version will result in an update failure and possibly
render the device inoperable.
