REQUIREMENT/S:
Candidates for election must consider and adhere to the following requirements
set by the incumbent NU Fairview Institute of Civil Engineering officers:
I.) All aspiring primary officers of the CE Student Council should be a member of
NU Fairview Institute of Civil Engineering-Student Chapter.
II.) A candidate for election may either run under a formed party list or as an
independent candidate.
III.) All running parties are required to follow the following guidelines.
III.A.) Candidates and/or party lists must prepare all the following
documents.
III.A.1.) Letter of Intent
-Cover Letter (Line-up)
-Platform/s
III.A.2.) Curriculum Vitae (with 2×2 photo, maximum of two pages)
III.A.3.) A document that only contains the name of the party list, all
of its members, and the positions they are running for (hard copy in
A4 size; soft copy in PDF file format). This paper is applicable for
party lists only. Independent candidates will skip this part.
III.B.) The Curriculum Vitae, Cover Letter, and lists of running party list
members (which is not applicable and required for independent
candidates) shall be presented in the following format:
III.B.1.) One inch margin on all sides
III.B.2.) Font size: 11
III.B.3.) Font Color: Black
III.B.4.) Font Text: Helvetica
III.B.5.) Hard Copy (A4 size)
III.B.6.) Soft Copy (PDF file format)
III.B.7.) Presidents under party lists must compile the hard copy
Curriculum Vitae and Cover Letter documents of their members in a
folder (any neat folder will do), with their party list paper as the first
page.
III.B.8.) Presidents under party lists must also prepare a OneDrive
folder (which has their party list names as the folder name)
containing the soft copies of the list of their parties and the individual
documents of their members. There is no specific format for the file
name, as long as the names of the members, the positions they are
running for, and their party lists are properly stated.
III.B.9.) Independent candidates will also follow the same format and
submission guidelines given to the running party lists.
Aforementioned, they are only required to submit their Curriculum
Vitae papers and Cover Letters.
III.B.10.) When submitting the needed requirements, there should be
a minimum of 5 representatives present.
III.C.) The documents in hard copies shall be submitted during the filing of
Certificate of Candidacy. Hence, the presented papers will be received and
reviewed by the incumbent NUFV-ICE officers and adviser onsite.
III.D.) The OneDrive links of the folders containing the soft copies of the
aforementioned papers shall be submitted only to the incumbent NUFV-
ICE Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.), Head Committee Director, or
Assistant Committee Director through the MS Outlook platform, a day
before the exact day of the filing of Certificate of Candidacy. Here are the

IV.) All candidates must oblige to the qualifications set by the NU Fairview
Institute of Civil Engineering.
V.) The failure to comply to the aforementioned requirements will result to the
ineligibility of the candidate to run in the election.
QUALIFICATION/S:
Per the NU Fairview Institute of Civil Engineering rule, all primary and secondary
officers must be:
I.) At least 18 (eighteen) years of age at the time of their candidacy.
II.) First (1st) to fourth (4th) year students officially enrolled under the BS Civil
Engineering program of NU Fairview at the time of their candidacy. Fourth year
students, moreover, must have three (3) remaining terms left to complete their
time of service for CE Student Council.
III.) Of good moral character. They must have no Major Disciplinary Offense on
their records.
IV.) Compliant to the qualifications provided by the NUFV-ICE to successfully
continue their term as officers.
GUIDELINE/S:
Campaign
I.) All printed campaign posters should be in A4 size (8.3 in x 11.7 in). Anything
smaller or bigger than the aforementioned size would result in immediate
disqualification.
II.) Strictly NO CAMPAIGNING before the campaign period. If got caught with
video, photo, or physical evidence would result in immediate disqualification.
III.) Do not resort in negative campaigning against opposing candidates and/or
party list.
Miting de Avance
I.) No usage of swear words when up against an opposing candidate. If got
caught, the candidate would not be allowed to finish his/her answer.
II.) Exercise restraint when responding against an opposing candidate.
