MODULE # 5

(URDU/ENGLISH READING SKILLS

DEVELOPMENT)

NAME: ROSHANAY IMRAN

CAMPUS: 11 (ARQAM PUBLIC SCHOOL)
CONDUCTOR: MS. QURATULAIN RANA

QUESTION NO # 1;
Design any blending activity with the help of MAMACHLASU.

Here's a blending activity designed specifically for a nursery class using the MAMACHLASU
framework:
1. Material: Gather various colorful fruits, such as strawberries, bananas, oranges, and
blueberries. You will also need a blender and small plastic cups.
2. Manipulation: Begin by showing the fruits to the children, explaining their colors and
shapes. Then, invite each child to pick one fruit of their choice. Assist them in holding
and examining the fruit, allowing them to feel its texture. This step encourages
sensory exploration and develops fine motor skills.
3. Choice: Provide the children with the opportunity to choose the order in which the
fruits will be blended. Each child can take turns selecting a fruit and placing it in a
designated blending bowl or container. This choice empowers the children and
encourages decision-making skills.
4. Language: Engage the children in a conversation about the fruits they have chosen.
Encourage them to describe the colors, shapes, and tastes of their fruits. Ask open-
ended questions like, "How does the orange taste?" or "What do you notice about
the strawberry?" This activity enhances language skills and promotes vocabulary
development.
5. Support: Provide support and guidance throughout the activity. Assist the children in
cutting or peeling the fruits if necessary. Allow them to assist in operating the
blender with adult supervision. Ensure everyone feels included and supported,
adapting the level of assistance according to each child's needs.

QUESTION NO # 2;
Make a list of sight words activities (any 5), Attach the samples of
any two activities and describe their method in detail.

List of Sight Words Activities:

1. Sight Word Flashcards:
Create flashcards with sight words written on them. Show the flashcards to the
students one by one and ask them to say the word out loud. This activity helps
students recognize and memorize sight words through visual and auditory
stimulation.
2. Sight Word Hunt:
Hide sight word cards around the classroom or outdoor area. Give each student a
checklist with the sight words they need to find. Encourage them to search for the
words and match them with the ones on their list. This activity promotes word
recognition and active engagement.
3. Sight Word Bingo:
Create bingo cards with sight words randomly placed in the squares. Call out the
words, and the students mark the corresponding word on their cards. The first
student to get a row or a full card calls out "Bingo!" This game reinforces sight word
recognition in an exciting way.
4. Sight Word Puzzles:
Create puzzles with sight words written on them. Cut the puzzles into pieces and mix
them up. Students have to put the pieces together to form the correct sight word.
This activity enhances visual discrimination and helps students reinforce their
knowledge of sight words.
5. Sight Word Sentence Building:
Provide students with sentence strips or word cards containing sight words. Ask them
to arrange the words to form meaningful sentences. This activity not only reinforces
sight word recognition but also helps develop sentence construction skills.

Sample Activity 1: Sight Word Flashcards;

METHOD:
1. Create flashcards with different sight words written on each card.
2. Gather the nursery class in a comfortable learning space.
3. Show one flashcard at a time to the students, holding it up for them to see.
4. Pronounce the sight word out loud and ask the students to repeat it after you.
5. Repeat this process for several sight words, ensuring each student gets a chance to
see and say the words.
6. To make it more engaging, you can encourage students to clap, stomp their feet, or
perform an action whenever they see or say a sight word correctly.
7. Continue the activity for a suitable duration, gradually introducing new sight words
over time.

Sample Activity 2: Sight Word Hunt;

Method:
1. Prepare a set of sight word cards and hide them around the classroom or outdoor
area.
2. Give each student a checklist with the sight words they need to find.
3. Explain the activity to the students, emphasizing that they need to search for the
hidden cards.
4. Let the students explore and search for the sight word cards, encouraging them to
read the words aloud as they find them.
5. As students find a sight word card, they can cross it off their checklist.
6. Once all the students have found their assigned sight words or the activity duration is
over, gather the class together.
7. Ask the students to share the words they found and discuss them as a group,
reinforcing the sight words' recognition and meaning.
