Three Dimensions of the Supernatural - Faith
Lesson 7

Key Concepts
I. Foundation
II. Operating by Faith
III. Eight Principles for How to Move by Faith

I. The Foundation.
A. Faith gives us access to the Supernatural
1. Faith is not presumption or optimism
2. Optimism is the hopefulness and confidence about the
future or successful outcome of something
3. Presumption is an idea that is taken to the be true, and
often used as the basis for other ideas.
B. The Word Faith.
1. Hebrews 11:1
2. The word “faith” in Hebrews 11:1 is translated from the
Greek word “pistis”, meaning “conviction” or “firm
persuasion”.
3. Faith is our response to the mind of God.
4. Faith is the divine ability given to man to go beyond the
natural realm. (Romans 8:26/1 Corinthians 14:13-18)
(a). Hebrews 11:3: Bu faith we understand that the worlds
were framed b the word of God.
(b). What was framed? The worlds. Worlds is translated
as aiōn. ahee-ohn From the same as G104; properly
an age; by extension perpetuity (also past); by
implication the world; specifically (Jewish) a Messianic
period (present or future): - age, course, eternal,
(for) ever (-more), [n-]ever, (beginning of the, while
the) world (began, without end).
5. Faith enables us to see into the Supernatural Realm.
SOS1 L2

6. Hebrews 11:3 saids, “By faith we understand”. Note that

faith in God and His word comes first, and then comes
understanding
7. We must keep in mind that the invisible spiritual realm in
superior to, and has dominion over, the visible natural
realm.
(a). Matthew 18:19–20 (NASB95) 19“Again I say to you,
that if two of you agree on earth about anything that
they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father
who is in heaven. 20 “For where two or three have
gathered together in My name, I am there in their
midst.”

II. Seven Principles for How to Move and Operate in Faith

A. Faith is in the NOW!

1. Exodus 3:14 (NASB95) 14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I

AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I
AM has sent me to you.’ ”

2. God the Father provided the Lamb of sacrifice that would

redeem mankind from all its sins.
3. Moses was operating in the “NOW!”
4. One reason we do not see the supernatural manifestations of
miracles, signs, and wonders in the church is that these
things take place in the now, while we live our lives waiting
for things to happen then or in the future.
5. Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, evidences of things not seen.
6. Where’s faith? In the NOW! It’s God’s radar.
7. Job 22:28 (NASB95) You will also decree a ting, and it will be
established for you; And light will shine on your ways.
8. If one of Job’s darkest moments, God spoke to him and told
him “you will…”
9. Who’s going to do the speaking? I am/You are!
10. Why? Because NOW faith is the substance of things hoped
for, evidence of things not seen.
11. Faith is not the future, because faith is not “going” to be; fait
is now!
SOS1 L2

B. Faith Originates from God.

1. Mark 11:22 (NKJV) So Jesus answered and said to them,
“Have faith in God.”
2. A literal translation is “Have God’s faith.”
3. Jesus is not asking us to have faith in God; He is saying that
God gives us a measure of faith that belongs to Him.
(a). Acts 3:6-7
(b). Jesus was operating in the faith of God, living out
Mark 11:22!
C. Faith Perceives the Unseen.
1. Faith sees as real and complete that which has net to be
revealed to the natural senses. It goes beyond the natural
senses.
2. The carnal mind cannot see the invisible.
3. Hebrews 11:1 Isaiah 46:9-10
4. God declares the end from the beginning. How then do we
appropriate what H has declared in the now?
5. This is where our faith comes in, “it touches” things in the
supernatural realm that are already complete but cannot yet
be seen in the visible world and our faith converts things
that cannot be seen into certainties in the physical world!
6. He (Jesus) has already healed incurable diseases. What is
our part in this? We appropriate the miracle by faith, now!
7. Philippians 1:6 (NKJV) being confident of this very things,
that He who has begun a good work in you will complete ut
until the day of Jesus Christ
D. We all have been given a measure of faith.
1. Romans 12:3 (NKJV)
2. This word confirms that everyone has faith, although not all
have the same faith. God will take those who have believed
and responded for greater things to a higher level of faith
3. What do we do with our measure of faith? We apply it to the
sphere of influence we have been given by God, so that we
can produce fruit for Him!
4. In the Spirit realm, everything operates according ot the
measures of rule. Each persons’ faith is to be used
effectively in relation to his own measure of rule. God has
entrusted us with faith and spiritual endowments.
5. Since everyone was given a measure of faith, there will never
SOS1 L2

be an excuse not to believe God!

E. Faith Feeds on Impossibilities.
1. When God gave each one of us a measure of faith, an
appetite for the impossible came into our spirits.
2. Your faith must be exercised in order for it to grow.
3. Mark 9:23 (NKJV) 23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe,
all things are possible to him who believes.” (boys son was
thrown into the fire and water by a def and dumb spirit and
the father asked that his own unbelief change).
4. What seems impossible to man, is possible with God!
F. In the Realm of Miracles, the Power of God is Faith.
1. Romans 4:20 (NKJV)
2. God’s supernatural power had to come upon Abraham
because his faith needed strengthening.
3. After Abraham had received strengthening from God, he was
persuaded, he had the conviction to wait for the certainty of
his now!
4. Romans 4:21 (NKJV)
5. When we are persuaded, or totally convinced, nothing will
make us waiver or doubt.
6. Some people doubt that God’s promises will come to pass
because they are not fully convinced.
7. Hebrews 11:11 (NKJV)
(a). Sarah laughed when she was told that she would have
a son at her advanced age (Genesis 18:12) but when
He (God) gave her His dynamite faith, her infertility
was transformed into fruitfulness.
(b). We receive faith to believe as God believes by saying,
“Lord I open my heart so You can fill it with Our own
faith. Destroy in me all doubt, unbelief, human
reasoning and argumentation so that I may receive the
miracles You promised me and so that I may minister
to others.
8. When God gives us or deposits inside of us His faith, this is
not the time to stay still, but it is time to take action!
G. Faith Operates Beyond Reason.
1. Human reasoning never stands on the side of faith!
(a). Hebrews 3:12 (NKJV)
(b). Much of what God id in the Bible appears
SOS1 L2

unreasonable to the natural mind so we must learn to

see and hear with the spiritual eyes an dears.
(c). Noah built a massive ark and preserved life and the
lives of his family members.
(1). Hebrews 11:7 (NKJV)
(2). A miracle too, place when animals begin to
(arrive from everywhere to enter the ark (Genesis
7:8
(d) Abraham fathered the promised son, Isaac, in his old
age, and had innumerable descendants.
(1) Genesis 17:5 (NKJV)
(2) Hebrews 11:12 (NKJV)
(3) Trying to reason that a ninety nine year old man
and his barren ninety year old wife could conceive a
child is impossible.
(e ) Shadrack, Meshack, and Abed-Nego were cast into a
fiery furnace but not burned.
(1) Daniel 3:25 (NKJV)
(2) By reasoning, it doesn’t’ make since that while
the king cast three into the fire, four people
appeared to be walking in the midst of it
(3) When human reason is present, faith is absent,
and the possible is impossible; but when faith is
present, human reason is absent, and the
impossible is possible.
(4) Faith cannot be judged or proven in a court of
law where reason rules because there are no
books or codes that can judge faith.
(5) If a doctor diagnoses a sickness, even when
God’s Word say we are healed, the human mind
will most often believe the verdict of sickness
because it doesn’t understand that beyond the
natural realm, there is the supernatural.
(6) The more time we spend trying to reason what
God wants to do in and through us, the more we
will lose the actual manifestations of the
supernatural because we are trying to reason
with it.
(a) Hebrews 11:17-19 (NKJV)
(b) Natural reasoning can become our mortal
SOS1 L2

weapon against is when it causes us to accept

human explanations for why we are sick,
impoverished, depressed or experiencing martial
problems.
H. Continuous Revelation will take us to higher dimensions of faith.
1. Romans 1:17 (NKJV)
2. Faith is a movement.
3. Faith works with knowledge.
4. When a person lacks revealed knowledge, it is impossible for
what that person to move to the next level of faith. Revelation
catapults us into a new place. (Ephesians 1:18-19)
5. We can not allow our faith to go stagnate – if we do, we will re-
enter the natural realm. We must go from faith to faith (2
Corinthians 3:18 NKJV)
6. God wants us to advance to a greater level of faith, but for that
to happen, we need revelation to pave the way. If we want to
walk in the now, we cannot ignore God’s revelation for this day
and time. (Isaiah 43:19, NKJV) To have faith in the in the now,
we must have present truth!
7. Your faith must be accompanied by action. (James 2:17)

III. Conclusion: : If you feel that your faith is inactive, this is the time to
exercise it so that you may enter into a new level of faith in God. If your
faith is active and you are serving God, you can move forward to the next
level of faith. At you new level of faith, you will find something fresh and
wonderful – miracles, healings and all types of provision. No matter what
stage of spiritual maturity you have progressed to, if you desire to grow
spiritually, now is the time pray this prayer:

“Father, please give me new revelation that will take me to another level
of faith. Connect me with men and women who can release my faith, so I
can bless other people, pray for the sick and tend to those who need a
touch of Your supernatural power. Amen.”
