Her name says it all, as she is the new Ally of the public service.
This is her #GIPStartingStory.
As a part of the Government Internship Program (GIP) at the Department of Labor
and Employment (DOLE), Allyssa Joy Halog, a fresh Ba-Communication graduate
from DMMMSU-SLUC is eager to learn about the inner workings of the government
organisation charged with encouraging decent and fruitful employment for all.
“I've always dreamt of working under the government – and DOLE revealed the
doors of the Government Internship Program. It is a big and challenging opportunity,
but I grabbed it wholeheartedly.”
She’s overwhelmed with the sheer amount of work and responsibilities she had in
head. Her co-workers were encouraging and helpful, and she is confident that they
will show her the ropes on how things work in their workplace. She wants to learn the
importance of working in an organisation, teamwork, and time management in
achieving common goals.
“I am looking forward to a new setting I had never experienced before, I am now
ready to serve the public with the strong dedication and knowledge I have. The
public’s good is also our families good”
As she allows herself to take risks, and serve the public, she’s now ready to take off
and burst out of her horizon into a brand-new universe known as “her life with
DOLE.”
As a fresh Ba-Communication graduate, I am pressured to look for a job, so when
my friend discovered the GIP Program of DOLE, I didn’t hesitate to apply. I applied
as a GIP Intern not only for experience, but also I want to help ng parents right away.
As a new GIP Intern, i'm still trying to adjust in a new workplace and new ambiance. I
am confident that I can apply all the knowledge and skill I have. Also, I know that
DOLE will train me well with the help of the other employees. I've always dreamt of
working under the government – and DOLE revealed the doors of the Government
Internship Program. It is a big and challenging opportunity, but I grabbed it
wholeheartedly. I want to learn about the in’s and out’s of the government.
I am looking forward to a new setting I had never experienced before, I am now
ready to serve the public with the strong dedication and knowledge I have. And to
the fresh GIP’s like me, remember that the public’s good is also our families good, so
let’s do our very best to show them that we are capable of serving the people of
Region 1.
To DOLE, the GIP and SPES Program is such a big help. Job searching has never
been easy, but DOLE literally opened the door for the people who want a decent
job. Thank you for serving the people!
