Scope of Works
1. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS
The work consists of the Construction of New Cost-efficient Micro and Small Scale Enterprises
(MSE) Production and Sales Centres at _________________.
2. OBLIGATIONS OF THE CONTRACTOR
The Contractor shall provide and maintain adequate office space with all utilities water, electricity,
and telephone for the Engineer’s Representatives on site for the duration of the contract. The office
shall be fully furnished as detailed hereunder. The contractor shall at all times clean the offices, fur-
niture and equipment of the Engineer’s office.
The Engineer shall approve the location and layout of the office. The office space and facilities
to be provided to the Engineer’s office are as follows.

Office space
The Contractor shall provide:
- Resident Engineer’s office with toilet room ……………………… 25m2
- Project Meeting Room…………………………………………..…15 m2
- All toilet rooms shall be furnished with toilet seat, hand washbasin, soft paper holder
and towel hanger.

The layout, quality and standard of the Engineer’s site office and furniture shall be subject to the
approval of the Engineer.
The offices should be constructed in a proper way where the floors should be of smooth cement
finish.

Office equipment
 Efficient secretary, Computer and printer including all necessary accessories and
stationeries shall be deployed and provide by the contractor for the use of Engineer
and his representative in relation to the work.

Utilities for the office, the cost of which will be covered by the contractor:
 One telephone line
 Electricity
 Water

Sanitary arrangements
 The Contractor shall be responsible for the provision and maintenance of all sanitary
services and to keep toilets in clean, neat and hygienic condition.

Transport for the Engineer and his staff


 The contractor shall provide double cabin pick up station wagon age not more than
Ten years old with competent driver. The driver salary, overtime and other pertinent
expense of driver, fuel oil lubricant maintain ace and all other related expenses
including instruction coverage provide replacement whenever the vehicles stops by
reason of mechanical or other facilities.
 The vehicles shall be used for providing transport service from residence to work
place and from work place to residence and for other works in relation to project on or
off site during working or extra hours as required until 30 days after the completion of
project.

Equipment
 Surveying Equipment tools, Measuring tape pegs etc, necessary for the work for the
use of engineer and /the engineer representative shall be provide by the contractor.
These instruments shall be to the satisfaction of the engineer.

3. DURATION OF THE SERVICE


The duration of the construction of the office building is envisaged to be 12 months.

Drawings are provided separately.

4.2. Bill of Quantities

Non-Priced Bill of Quantities is provided separately.

4.3 Technical Specification and Method of Measurement

BaTCoDA’s Standard Technical Specifications of March 1991 is an integral part of this contract.
