Hiring Manager
Mildred’s Temple Kitchen
85 Hanna Ave Unit #104
Toronto, ON M6K 3S3
To whom it may concern,
After earning a University Degree and working in the Arts, Cultures, and Tourism sector for over three
years, I decided to change my career to what I am most passionate about. I have always believed that
food is a universal need that brings all types of people together, and pastry sustains a strong
component of that experience. Thus, amid completing my diploma in Baking and Pastry Management
at Humber College, I am seeking to pursue a position in the food and hospitality industry as a pastry
cook.
During my first year at Humber College, I worked as a baker at Monte Bakery where I developed my
skills in making pastries in a bakery and learned extensively about laminated dough. This involved
prepping doughs, batters, and fillings from scratch throughout the day starting from the early mornings.
After working through small bakeries, I have decided to push myself to gain experience in a fast-paced
kitchen environment as I am someone who thrives in faster-paced settings.
Alongside this, I volunteered for the Humber College Open House in 2022 for my designated program
where I prepped pastries with other students in advance and acted as an ambassador. I shared my
passion and journey in the program with potential students and encouraged many who were in a similar
position as myself years ago. Although I am still a student, my maturity, baking skills, ability to work with
others, and knowledge of food safety will make me an asset to your restaurant.
I am a quick learner who is reliable and shares a passion for what I make. Please do not hesitate to
contact me through email at [email protected] or by phone at (647)-207-4167 if you
would like to speak further about the position. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Donna Hablich
