Connect your device to a power outlet and an Internet connection with an Ethernet port
(ports 1-12). This is usually a modem, but could also be another device on your network.
Web-based Manager
1. Use the Ethernet cable to connect MGMT port of the FortiWeb unit to the
management computer.
2. Configure the management computer to match the FortiWeb unit’s default MGMT
subnet. For example:

The FortiWeb unit can be mounted in any standard 19 inch rack unit with the provided
rail mount kit.
Please read the “Cautions and Warnings” on page 20 prior to installing your device.
Serial Port
To install the FortiWeb unit into a rack:
