AC800 Controller Selection Loading Instructions

The AC800_Controller_Selection utility allows loading hardware configurations onto controllers based on machine model and options. The process involves selecting the machine model, installed options, controller type, and then clicking "Load Configuration". The controller in Control Builder will be reconfigured during the load process, shown through status updates. If errors occur, ensuring the Register.bat file has been run may resolve registration issues.

AC800_Controller_Selection Loading a Hardware Configuration

Purpose
The primary purpose of the AC800 Controller Selection utility is to allow P&H and Mine Pro personnel
to load hardware configurations based on the machine model and installed hardware options.
Loading an Existing Controller
Double click the AC800_Controller_Selection.exe file in the CenturionMaster folder.

The Control Builder Project in the CenturionMaster folder will be used by default as shown in Figure 1.

Step 1 – Machine Model Selection

Select the Machine Model configuration to load from the Machine Model Configuration Selection drop
down list. See Figure 2. Once selected, the options for this Machine Model will be displayed as shown in
Figure 3. See the Appendix for information about the “Loading From Another Location”

Step 2 - Selecting Options.
Each option has a default selection displayed upon selection of the machine model as shown in Figure 3.
Select the options as configured on your particular machine.

Clicking the “?” button alongside the drop down list will display a description/help about the selected
option as shown in Figure 4. Clicking the button again will hide the description/help. For information on
an “Unconfigure Hardware” option, see the Appendix.

Step 4 – Load Configuration

The final step is to click the Load Configuration button. Uncheck the Close After Successful Load if you
wish the utility to stay open after the controller has successfully loaded into Control Builder. For more
information on the loading process, see the Appendix.

The progress bar will advance as steps of the write are completed. Below the progress bar, information
about the steps being performed is displayed as is shown below in Figure 6.

Loading a Configuration From Another Location
The last selection in the Machine Model Configuration Selection drop down list is Load From Another
Location. This selection allows the user to load a configuration that was saved in another location. Upon
selection, a browse window will open to allow the user to navigate to the location of the auxiliary
configuration.

More Information about the Loading Process

After the Load Configuration button is clicked, the first thing that will happen is Control Builder will
open and the Control Builder Project selected in Step 1 will open. Once the project is loaded, the existing
controller will be deleted and the new one created and written in and configured based on the machine
model and options selected.

During the process of the hardware being created, the Controller inside of Control Builder will flicker.
This is normal operation. The flickering is caused by the hardware being added.

If there is no Controller when the Control Builder project is opened (as is the case when a new Centurion
Master Project), you will see a lot of, “Error reading sourceblock: …“. This is expected due to the project
being opened before there is a controller configured or any hardware. If you open the Controllers and
hardware during or after the hardware configuration is complete, you will see the hardware is there or
being added.

I click the “Load Configuration” button and I get an error message

If you get either of the following error messages Figure 7 or Figure 8, double click the “Register.bat” file
in the CenturionMaster folder. You will see the message box in Figure 9 indicating the DLL is now
registered and the error message should not happen again.
