Course description: This course is an introductory organic chemistry and biochemistry course. The physicalproperties,
aromatics, alkynes, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones,
nomenclature, structuraland chemical properties of alkanes, alkenes, properties of the four main classes of
Carboxylic acids, esters, amides and amines are introduced. The chemistry and
nucleic acids are also covered. The physical and chemical
biological molecules: carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, and laboratory. It fulfills the undergraduate requirement for
