Composition : The flag ts purple in colour with the World Scout Badge in white tn ¢ centre. The badge 1s encircled by a white cord and the ends of the cord are tled with reef-knot. Importance : Purple is the international colour that stands for the service-ortente nature of scouting. The white colour stands for purity. The reef-knot 1s the symbol of t Scout Brotherhood. The two stars represent the Promise and the Law. Rules and conventions to be followed while flag holsting : It 1s tmportant to hotst flag before the beginning of a camp. The hoisting should be done in an orderly maniter ar due formality should be maintained throughout the proces (o ‘The flag ts hoisted at the start and lowered at the end of the camp.
