Step 1 will be to open up your roblox studio, after that make a new game and publish it,
Then, simply head over to your starter GUI section on the exporer and create a new screen GUI
[A roll]
– make a scene saying step one, then show roblox studio fading in, making a new game cut to
publishing it button, and slide over to the mouse making a new gui.
[B roll]
– Background stuff, blank, maybe playing a game
Step 2 is adding our first frame as the background and adding in what ever it is that you are
importing. For me, this is going to be a basic shop UI i made. Just to use as an example.
Once you have imported your frames and buttons as image labels and image buttons, make
sure your buttons have their respected hoover images and if you are making a shop like me
then you will be using a Ui grid layout with a scrolling frame so that you can browse your shop
endlessly.
This works for inventories and anything you can think of, but if you dont need to use a scrolling
frame then just skip ahead to where ill start scaling all of this
[A Roll] - show the frame that i have created (fr fr)
For importing you UI grid layout, first you want to customise your image label to show your
product or item like im doing here and after that make sure that your UI grid layout is inside of
your scrolling frame, copy the size of your items image lable and then paste it into the ui grid
layout’s size
After you are done with all of that it should be looking something like this, if not. I recommend
going to the dev forums link in the description which may help you out.
Now then, onto scaling. I’m going to be making a part 2 where i will show you how to get an
amazing tool for completely free that I paid for so make sure you are subbed so you can see
when i post that.
There are 2 methods;
[A roll] Subtitles - pop in
The free method which isnt going to work 100% of the time but is quite useful, which is
autoscale lite, for this you just want to keep going to your frames back and forth pressing scale
size and position.
Method 2
[A roll] - Subtitled (Pro method)
For this you will need the UI tools plugin which costs 500 robux but il be showing you in a
separate video how to get it for free
[Editing note]
( but il be showing you in a separate video how to get it for free) –this will act like it is fading out
into noise and a chirp tone
This one is a lot easier and all you will need to do is select all your UI and open the properties
and do a fast scale, then go onto the drop down menu and just keep changing the option and
pressing scale, after this it can be a little bit of trial and error so repeat a few times and test it on
devices using the testing tab
[UI strokes]
Scaling UI strokes
With Ui strokes i honestly gave up attempting to scale them so i just found the best settings to
use, which is just making the thickness 3 and that seems to look best on all devices.
Anyway end of vid goodbye.
Hopefully this doesnt go over 5 mins or ill kill myself
