Dear Sir / Madam,

Statement of Purpose & Proof of Means of Financial Support for Application of

Temporary Resident Visa (Study Permit) To Canada

Introduction:
I am writing to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (Study Permit), submitting my
application for your kind consideration. My name is Ngwee Victoria Anuoluwapo, i was
admitted student to study Administrative Professional: Health services at New Brunswick
Community College, Fredericton campus in Canada, it is a two-year program starting in the
fall of 2024 (Attached Letter of Acceptance, and tuition deposit payment
acknowledgement from New Brunswick Community College).

I am 22 years old, born 7th May, 2001 (Attached Birth Certificate), I recently graduated
from Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, where I
obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Anatomy between September 2018 and February 2024
(Certificate attached). I am the fourth child of five children (Four females and one male
respectively) in my family of six.

My mother (Mrs. Taiwo Olaitan Ngwee) became my only parent when I lost my father in
July, 2015 to Type 2 Diabetes (Attached death certificate). She works as the Director of
Education and Social Services at Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria. My
siblings, the eldest daughter (Dr. Mary Olaniyi) lives in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada with
her family as a citizen of Canada and she will be sponsoring my education as she always have
been doing. I have an elder brother (Mr. Peter Ojo) who is currently doing his postgraduate
studies here in Nigeria, I have another elder sister (Miss. Abosede Ngwee) who is also
studying here in Nigeria, I have a younger sister (Miss. Chioma Ngwee) who is also studying
here in Nigeria (Attached pictures and birth certificates) and I also have a puppy named
May. She is a 4 months old Lhasa Apso puppy (Picture attached).
In line with my study permit application, I am writing this statement to highlight some factors
that have motivated me to study Administrative Professional: Health services at New
Brunswick Community College.

Reason for choosing the Administrative Professional: Health Services program:

I have always been passionate about the healthcare industry since I was a child and its
profound impact on human lives which was one of the reasons that led me to study human
anatomy. However, during my study, in my third year, I went for a six month compulsory
industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) which was part of my school curriculum that I
have always looked forward to. I was posted to Ring Road State Hospital, Ibadan (Attached
relevant documents), where I worked under the administrative unit of the Radiology
department, we were in charge of managing medical records, coordinating appointments, and
ensuring efficient operations within the department (Pictures attached), it was then my
interest extended beyond direct knowledge of the human body into the administrative section
in healthcare settings as this is also a way to improve health as well. With the help of my
understanding in human anatomy and medical terminology, I was able to interpret and
communicate effectively with healthcare professionals even the patients and accurately
record information. During my 6-month industrial work experience, there were cases where
patients' records were not properly recorded because those who were in charge of the
department administration were not medically inclined and therefore had difficulty in
recording patients information accurately, even in some cases mismanaged and mishandled .
This was also something complained about by some of my colleagues in their different
hospital postings which made me deeply disturbed because this usually leads to loss and
absence of some medical records of a patient, which can have severe consequences for
patients, healthcare providers, and the healthcare system as a whole.
And I also realized that in Nigeria, most hospitals are still using outdated systems for
managing patient records and information thereby causing cases of loss or absence of some
medical records. Studying Administrative Professional: Health Services in Canada will
provide me with valuable knowledge and skills to contribute to the improvement of
healthcare systems where Nigeria is lacking greatly. Hence, making a significant impact in
modernizing and improving healthcare practices in my home country.
It is this experience with healthcare administration that has led me to choose the
Administrative Professional: Health Services program as my educational pathway so that I
can learn more about it with my knowledge of human anatomy to improve the administrative
system in Nigeria’s healthcare sector .

Why I studied Anatomy:

As previously mentioned, I have always been passionate about the healthcare industry and the
human body since I was a child. I grew up watching Grey’s Anatomy with my elder sister
(Dr. Mary Olaniyi), I was so invested in how the human body works then I decided to study
Anatomy because of my love for it.

Study gap, training, and work experience:

Following the successful completion of my primary and secondary education in 2011- 2017, I
immediately enrolled in Centre for Educational Services at Alex Ekwueme Federal
University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State for a pre-degree program 2017/2018 then got
into the University (Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State) for
my tertiary education to further expand my academic horizons, I started in September 2018
and ended in February 2024 (Attached are relevant documents). This seamless transition
reflects my passion for learning and my strong desire to continuously improve and excel.

In my third year of study at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, I went for SIWES (Student
Industrial Work Experience Scheme), it is a program implemented in many tertiary
institutions in Nigeria as a compulsory part of the curriculum for students in certain
disciplines. It was a six month training program which I started in July and ended in
December 2021 at Ring Road State Hospital, Ibadan, where I worked under the
administrative unit of the Radiology department as well as in Histopathology department
(Attached are relevant documents).

Reasons for choosing Canada:

I chose Canada because I believe it is the best country for me to further my education and
personal development because of its world-class educational institutions and affordable
education, which they are famous for their superiority in academic and research activities.
Studying in Canada is a decision that goes beyond the top-notch academic options available,
as the country's healthcare system is well-known for its effectiveness, quality, and patient-
centered approach which some of these are lacking in my home country . By immersing
myself in the Canadian healthcare environment, I will have the chance to observe and learn
from a system that prioritizes patient care and continuous improvement and using the
knowledge of things I have learnt to improve in places where we lack in Nigeria.

Additionally, Canadian degrees and qualifications are globally recognized and respected.
Holding a Canadian degree in healthcare administration enhances my professional credibility
in my country, Nigeria. In the top 10 of the Global Peace Index, Canada is regarded as one of
the safest places to travel. Thousands of international students, like myself, choose it as their
favorite location because of its friendly atmosphere, low crime rates, tolerance for cultural
diversity, inclusivity and outstanding level of living.

Reason for choosing New Brunswick community college:

After doing a lot of research, I have discovered that New Brunswick Community College's
Administrative Professional: Health Services program has an outstanding curriculum that
covers not only theoretical knowledge but also practical abilities needed in healthcare
administration. Essential courses like professional office skills, medical terminology:
anatomy and physiology, records and database management, healthcare ethics and legislation,
office administration and Practicum: Administrative professional health services and more
are all covered in-depth in the program's extensive training where I will obtain a
comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system and the crucial role that administrative
professionals play in ensuring that it runs smoothly as a result of pursuing this program.

Why Diploma?
Furthermore, NBCC Administrative Professional: Health Services diploma program is
acknowledged by various esteemed international organizations, including the International
Institute of Welding (IIW) and the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB), among many others.
Completing this program will open up numerous opportunities for me to pursue international
welding certifications, such as the Canadian Welding Bureau certification, which is highly
respected worldwide. With this qualification, I will be able to pursue a fulfilling career as a
professional welder and I will have the opportunity to bid for contracts in various industries
worldwide.

Ties to home country:

My family resides in Nigeria, where my siblings, including mother, fiancé and friends are all
here in Nigeria, and they are all invaluable part of my life. In addition to my family, I also
have a pet, who was mentioned earlier. May (my puppy) has been a constant companion,
providing me with comfort and companionship and I have made arrangements for its proper
care in my absence. As such, leaving them all behind poses a significant emotional challenge
for me. And no matter how far apart we may occasionally be, we always manage to return to
one other. In 2021 and 2022, my mother, Mrs. Taiwo Olaitan Ngwee, had the opportunity to
visit my eldest sister (Dr. Mary Olaniyi) in Canada after the delivery of her first son and
second son and she returned back home immediately, upon the fulfillment of her purpose of
visit (stamped passport page attached).

I understand the importance of supporting family and I am fully committed to returning back
to Nigeria after my studies. After the completion of my program, I will return back to
Nigeria to serve my country as I am yet to go for my obligatory National youth service
(NYSC). That way I can utilize the knowledge and skills acquired to make a meaningful
contribution to the healthcare industry in my home country. The demand for skilled
healthcare administrators is growing, and I am committed to implementing best practices and
improving healthcare services in my country. I believe that my education in Canada will
equip me with the necessary expertise and international perspective to drive positive change
in Nigeria's healthcare sector.
Also I will assume the role of administrative healthcare officer in my step father’s, Dr.
Emmanuel O. Ajewole prestigious Hospital at Family Medical Centre at Ilesa, Osun State,
Nigeria where I would work as an administrative health care officer (Letter of appointment
after completion of studies and marriage certificate attached).

Upon completion of my studies, my fiancé and I have plans to get married as soon as I
complete my studies and return to Nigeria to start our own family (Engagement pictures
attached). It is important to note that my decision to apply for a Canadian study permit is
solely my own and not influenced by my elder sister, Dr. Mary Olaniyi. My intention in
coming to Canada is to study for a two-year period only, and I have no plans to permanently
migrate.

Travel history:
Due to my commitment to school and pursuit of academic excellence and my passion, I am
yet to have the opportunity to travel outside of my country. I had little time to no time to
explore beyond my country because of my studies and my free time and holidays were fully
utilized by spending time with my family, fiancé and friends.

Proof of funds and Sponsorship Details:

Concerning my tuition, a total of CAD 21,500 is required for my two years of study at
NBCC, while CAD 20,000 is needed to cover my living expenses throughout my two years
of study. During my stay in Canada, my elder sister, Dr. Mary Olaniyi, will fund my tuition
fees, living expenses, and all other expenses.

Dr. Mary Olaniyi is my biological eldest sister. She lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; he
works at the royal bank and earns CAD 3,000 monthly (pay slips, work ID, and bank
statement attached), which provides her with the financial capacity to support my
education.

Dr. Mary Olaniyi has been an unwavering source of support for me throughout my
Academics in Nigeria and my application process, as she was responsible for paying my
monthly allowances, final year school tuition in Nigeria, NBCC application fee, confirmation
fee, and 1st semester tuition fee, demonstrating her ever commitment to my education and
my future (receipts, SOA and whatsapp chats attached). Dr. Mary Olaniyi believes in my
potential and passion and sees funding my education as a way of helping me achieve my
goals and dreams. Moreover, since I will be studying in Canada where Dr. Mary Olaniyi
currently resides, she has guaranteed that all required funds for my living expenses will be
readily available to me upon my arrival in Canada.

In Addition, my step father, Dr. Emmanuel Ajewole, has also contributed to my expenses by
providing me with N2,020,000 (two million and twenty thousand nairas) on 11 th May 2023
from his personal savings account for my initial upkeep and all other miscellaneous expenses
that may arise. Furthermore, He promised to always support me throughout my stay in
Canada (see attached; letter of support and receipt).
