Math Marvel

One of the happiest memories from my childhood dates back to when I was five years old and beginning
kindergarten (In Tres Cruses Elementary School) . I had an unforgettable experience: I managed to learn the
multiplication table and was given the opportunity to tackle more advanced schoolwork. I even had a friendly
competition with a student in a higher grade, and to my surprise, I came out as the winner! This caught the attention
of my teachers, who recognized my talent in math. This marked a turning point for me, as I was given the chance to
participate in quiz bee competitions as early as first grade.

Triumph in Trials
When I participated in my very first mathematics quiz bee (I was a grade 1 students), I was entirely clueless about the
mechanics and criteria involved. All I was certain of was my determination to compete. Relying on the trust my
coaches had placed in me, I managed to secure 1st place at the district level, another 1st place at the division level,
and a respectable 5th place at the regional level. This achievement is something I will forever carry with me, serving
as a constant reminder throughout my life's journey.

Scholastic Milestones
Due to the swift passage of time, I remained oblivious to the fact that I was already a sixth-grade student, on the brink of
transitioning from elementary school. However, just before bidding farewell to my school days, an unexpected opportunity
presented itself: representing our school in the field of Journalism. Among the experiences that left a lasting impression on me
during my elementary years was the guidance and instruction provided by my coach, Ms. Diana Sosa. She wasn't merely a
coach, but also a mentor figure, akin to a parent, instilling in me inspiration and self-assurance that would shape my cherished
memories before embarking on graduation – particularly, my triumph. Clinching the 5th position in the Division School Press
Conference (DSPC) within the Science and Health Writing category, this achievement has continued to kindle my passion for
writing.

Journalistic Journey
During my time as a Junior High School student, numerous memories stand out, offering both joy and lasting
impressions. This journey begins with my enrollment in the curriculum at Tanza National Comprehensive High
School (TNCHS), where a unique opportunity for students to develop their journalism skills was provided through
the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ). The elation I felt upon being accepted into this program was
unparalleled; I never imagined that I would be among the selected students. Achieving the 3rd rank in the
qualifying test and interview, I believe it's fitting to express my pride and acknowledge that I rightfully earned my
spot. This allowed me to proudly join the ranks of students who were granted the chance to further their
journalistic journey.

Unbreakable Bonds
Upon stepping into this phase, I encountered an occurrence that perhaps ranks among the happiest moments of my life
meeting my friends Jonas and Cyrus. These two individuals have stood by me from then till now. Their significance
needs no elaborate explanation; the enduring memories we've created together suffice to elucidate why they hold the
title of being the best friends who have enriched my life.

Endearing Connections
The memory of graduating from grade 10 stands out as another thrill-inducing moment in my recollections. It marked
the occasion when I finally had the pleasure of meeting my crush, Kayzie. Surprisingly, she emerged as a meaningful
gift in my life following my Junior High School journey. Our shared experiences and moments have continuously
sparked excitement and joy. She has also imparted invaluable lessons that continue to resonate with me. She isn't just
a crush or a girlfriend; she holds a multifaceted role in my life – being my best friend, confidante, supporter, occasional
adversary, and treasured companion for bonding moments.

Transformative Chapters
My Senior High School years brought a new wave of happiness as I ventured into a new school. Enrolling at the
Lyceum of Cavite-East not only exposed me to a different environment but also introduced me to new friends who have
since become pillars of support in my journey to adulthood. The faculty also played a significant role in shaping my
experience, offering both lessons and guidance. And lastly, I discovered a new version of myself during this time, one
that I can't hold accountable for the events of my future life.
