Sharon Farrell, Director of The Online

Makeup School, and Charlotte Ravet,
Course Designer, would like to extend a

the most varied and exciting industries in the

many different areas to work in, from working on
a film set, to behind the scenes at a runway show,
to sharing a bride’s special day. With the skills
you are about to learn, it is possible to travel
across the globe and work with the brands and
SHARON FARRELL creative teams of your dreams. We hope you are
as excited as we are!

Based in Sydney, Australia, The Online Makeup

School is a premium digital learning platform that
provides high-quality courses in makeup
education.

We were founded by Sharon Farrell, an Irish

makeup artist with over 15 years of experience as
a makeup artist and educator. Sharon started her
career working with Benefit Cosmetics, Lancôme
and MAC, before embarking on a successful
freelance career after moving to Australia. Her
YouTube channel, which became one of Australia's
largest and most influential beauty education
CHARLOTTE RAVET platforms, provided Sharon with the opportunity
to work with some of the worlds most exciting
makeup brands, and hone her skills as a video
producer for beauty content.

Taking the skills she learned building her YouTube

channel, Sharon began The Online Makeup School,
a platform whose sole purpose is to provide high-
quality makeup education delivered in a structured
and supportive way. Since launching in 2018, The
Online Makeup School has helped over 1000
students to improve their makeup skills, and in
2021we launched the Pro Course to help aspiring
makeup artists begin successful careers in the
industry.

YOUR TUTOR
We have been fortunate to work with
renowned makeup artist, Charlotte Ravet,
to develop the curriculum of our Pro
Course and present the video lessons.

After beginning work as a supervising make-up

artist for Prada and MiuMiu’s private runway and
launch events, Charlotte’s career expanded
further, seeing her deliver live seminars at L’Oréal
Paris, demonstrating the latest trends. Her artistry
has even hung on the walls of the Henner Museum
in Paris as part of photographer Stephane Casali’s
exhibit.

Sponsored by major cosmetics

companies such as Yves Saint
Laurent, Clarins, L’Oréal and Mac,
it was no surprise Charlotte was
granted a Distinguished Talent
Visa. As part of this elite group,
Charlotte earned permanent
residency in Australia.

After becoming a finalist at the

Face2Face awards, Charlotte
began to share her expertise,
designing and running her own
masterclasses, while working as an
educator for academies and
hosting workshops for makeup
artists across Australia.

Charlotte has taught make-up

students and performers at
N.I.D.A. developed workshops for
Maqpro, Franck Provost and Marie
France and created and developed
the beauty advisor training
program for Manicare and
Priceline.

After being the head educator for

a leading makeup academy in
Melbourne, Charlotte came back to
Paris as the International retail
and artistry education trainer for
the brand By Terry.

 COURSE AIMS

The Pro course will provide the student with tools and
information to begin their career in the makeup
industry. The student will know how to safely apply
makeup to a variety of models for private events such
as weddings, for fashion and commercial photography
and to talent in TV and Film. The student will also
know how to keep their kit hygienic and organised,
how to work with different members of a creative
team, and how to market themselves in order to find
the job of their dreams.

High standards must be maintained for both the

reputation of the school and its students past, present
and future, and so grading of the students work will
be transparent and thorough, ensuring that the
industry is being provided with makeup artists of the
highest quality.
Upon graduating, the student will be competent,
confident, and ready to begin their dream career.
