"Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002".
Theme: "Safe Campus: Uniting Against Drugs and Terrorism"
Illegal drug use has a negative impact on people individually, in families, and in
communities all across the world. The "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,"
or RA 9165, is an essential part of law that is used to counter the spread of illegal drugs.
Through strong enforcement, rehabilitation programs, and public awareness efforts, it
seeks to stop drug-related actions. The law sets in tactics to stop the production, sale,
and use of illegal substances, highlighting the role that education plays in preventing
teenage drug misuse. It requires drug-free workplace regulations to be established,
which promotes a calm and accountable culture across multiple industries. Moreover,
RA 9165 emphasizes the need of global collaboration in combating drug trafficking,
acknowledging the interdependence of the drug trade besides territorial limits. The act
seeks to liberate society from the handle of illegal drugs by endorsing a comprehensive
strategy that includes treatment, prevention, and law enforcement.
The topic "Safe Campus: Uniting Against Drugs and Terrorism" emphasizes a critical
need to face the threat of terrorism in addition to the fight against illegal substances.
Terrorism is a serious threat to educational institutions' stability and safety in addition to
the country's security. Proactive tactics, information exchange, and community
involvement are all part of the fight against terrorism in order to stop terrorism and the
spread of violent extremist beliefs. The "Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020," or RA 11479,
strengthens the nation's anti-terrorist posture by arming law enforcement with the
means to prevent terrorist attacks, punish those responsible, and destroy terrorist
networks. It guarantees fast and effective action against terrorists while emphasizing the
preservation of human rights. The law also stresses how critical it is to stop the financial
resources of terrorism and stop the flow of funds to terrorist organizations. The act
intends to create a secure environment, ensuring the protection of campuses and
society against the scourge of terrorism by promoting cooperation among authorities,
communities, and international partners.
