Why your notes do not display in home page

and
how to make them appear again
CASE 1: Use wrong home folder (most
common mistake)

You can select 1 from 2 home folders in CollaNote:


- on device
- on iCloud

To be able to select which home folder: open setting,


then enable „Display iCloud Drive option“

Then go back to Home screen and select


correct Home Folder

SOLUTION:
Many users accidentally select wrong home folder and wonder
where their notes gone.
Please select correct home folder and check if your notes
appear again
CASE 2: User deleted the app

As you can see in login window, all notes are stored on


device or iCloud.
CollaNote do not store notes on any other server.

If you delete the app, a window will display and tell all
data on device will be deleted (but data in iCloud stay)

SOLUTION:
If you deleted the app and you stored your notes in
iCloud, you only need to login with the same iCloud
accout in iOS settings, then download CollaNote again
and enable “use iCloud folder as home folder” and select
„iCloud Drive“ option from home screen. Your note will
show up again

If you deleted the app and you stored your notes on


device, I’m sorry, they are gone and I can’t help
CASE 3: It’s a bug from Apple Files app
(not from CollaNote)

Sometimes it’s a bug from Apple Files app that


your data doesn’t dispay in files app.

If you open Files app, select “on my iPad” or


“iCloud drive”, then open “CollaNote” folder and it
shows nothing:

SOLUTION: Restart your device, it should fix the bug


CASE 4: You accidentally deleted your notes
or foldera

If you delete any note or folder, they will


stay in trash bin of Apple Files app

SOLUTION: Open Files app, then tap at “Recently


deleted” and restore your data

Then go back to CollaNote app and tap at refresh

CASE 5: Notes are outside of “All Notes”
folder or you have renamed this folder

All notes in CollaNote must be stored in „All Notes“ folder

If you open CollaNote folder in Files app (keep in mind


there are 2 folders, one on device and one on iCloud)

You will see “All Notes” folder


All of your notes must be stored in this folder
and only notes placed in this folder will be displayed

SOLUTION:

- If your notes are outside of “All Notes” folder,


please move it inside of this folder

- Never rename “All Notes” folder, if you renamed it,


please rename it back to „All Notes“
CASE 6: Notes are in iCloud but not downloaded to device
yet (this often happens after iOS updates, it automatically
deletes downloaded data to have more space for
downloading new iOS version)

SOLUTION:
- Open settings, tap at „Open in Files App“, then download data
manually by tapping at cloud icon
