FUN FOR HOURS
Fun for Hours is a large toy store chain, which operates in shops
around the world and online. The chain has been in business for
over 20 years, and in that time, it has grown to become one of
the largest toy store chains in the world due to its ever-growing
online presence. The chain has seen consistent growth over the
years, with more stores being opened in different countries. It
currently has over 500 employees in the USA and Canada alone,
with many more around the world.
It started out with the vision of Mischa, who had previously
owned a small toy store. Over the years, this store expanded,
and with the help of the family, it opened further stores.
The chain then went public 10 years ago and is now a Public
Limited Company, where it is owned by shareholders. The
family still own 40% of shares in the company.
Mischa started the business with an aim to provide fun,
educational toys to encourage whole family fun. Over the years,
the long-term aim of Fun for Hours has evolved and now they
want to become the global leader in toy retailing. The aim is to
create a strong brand name that is linked with quality, safety,
and family fun. The business has recently decided to sell more
traditional wooden toys as more of their customers are
becoming more socially and environmentally aware. Fun for
Hours has adapted its objectives to reflect the changing retail
landscape, including the increased focus on online sales and
customer satisfaction.
Fun for Hours has been focusing more on promotional and
marketing campaigns using social media. It has seen a 5%
increase in sales so far and hopes to double this by the end of the
year. Much of this has been through online sales with the
upgrading of the website and payment systems. The new user-
friendly website has seen online sales growth, predicted to reach
12% by the end of the year. The toy shop chain has worked hard
on retaining their employees. Over the last few years, it has
invested in better training and offered competitive wages and
benefits. This has seen employee satisfaction rise. An increase
in staff satisfaction rates should be seen by the end of the year.
This improved training has also seen a 5% increase in customer
satisfaction with the improved service and a wider range of
