DEFENDANT’S NOTICE OF APPEAL

Pursuant to Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 25.1, Defendant Texas Department of

Public Safety hereby appeals the Final Judgment of this Court, signed on November 28, 2013, to

the Third Court of Appeals.

Pursuant to Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 6.001, as a state agency, the

Department is not required to file a supersedeas bond to supersede the judgment.
