Generally after verbs we use adverb in the sentence, but
following are the verbs if an adjective gives correct
meaning after them we can use adjective.

Is, am , are, was, were, be, being, been, become, turn,


feel, get, look, appear, seem, smell, taste, call, make,
find, paint, elect, etc

• Consider the following Examples

1. No other state in India is as large as Rajasthan.

• Following are the adjectives they are complete in them, hence they are
not changed into comparative or superlative degree.

• Absolute, Chief, Complete, Empty, Entire, Eternal, Full, Extreme, Golden,


Ideal, Infinite, Perfect, Round, Square, Unique, Universal, Vacant, etc.

• Mr. Ramjethmalani is more senior than Mr. Shyamjethmalani.

• Below are the adjectives they are followed by ‘to’ in place of ‘than’
• Senior, Junior, superior, inferior, posterior, anterior, prior, preferable,
elder etc.

• Rajasthan is larger than UP

• The area of Rajasthan is larger than UP.

• The area of Rajasthan is larger than the area of UP
