IV. PROCEDURE

A. Preparation Activity
- Prayer, the teacher will ask a student to lead the prayer.
- The teacher will ask the students to pick up trash of paper and arrange
their chairs before sitting down.
- The teacher will check the attendance
B. Activity
- The teacher will provide an activity for the students which is a charade.
- Have a student come to the front of the class and whisper a word or show
a flashcard to that student. The student then acts out that word and the
first student to guess can be the next player.

C. Analysis
The teacher will ask the students about the game and how it is related to
their lesson.

- What have you observed base from our game?


- What are the words you have identified or guess base from the game?
- In the part of speech, what do you call those words that express action?

D. Abstract
The teacher will discuss and give examples about the lesson Action Verb.

- What is a Verb?
(Verb is an action in the sentence that describes what the subject is
doing.)

- Two different types of action verb the Physical Action Verb and Mental
Action Verb.
Physical action verb talks about observable actions such as
walking, running, leaping, or sprinting. Some physical action verbs
talk about actions that are less active such as sleeping, blinking, or
breathing. The key is that these actions are still observable.

Mental action verb is something one can do without moving a


muscle.
- What are examples of Physical Action Verb?
(Sing, Run, Swim, Write, Drive, Eat)

- What are examples of Mental Action Verb?


(Enjoy, agree, recognize, forget, prefer)

- How do you recognize a verb in the sentence?


(Recognize the location of the verb. Verbs are almost always comes after
a noun or a pronoun. These noun or pronouns are referred to as subjects.)

V. GENERALIZATION
- The teacher will wrap up the discussion and ask the students on what they
have learned about the lesson action verb.

VI. ASSESSMENT
- The teacher will task the students to categories physical action verb and
mental action verb through a group quiz.

VII. ASSIGNMENT
- The teacher will assign homework to the students to ensure that they
improve not just in recognizing action verbs but also in creating sentences.

- The students are tasked to create sentences utilizing action verbs.

- They will create at least 5 examples of Action verb in complete sentence.
