We write relative to the minor parking violation committed last __ March 2017,
by our driver, ______________, at the shuttle parking area within the school compound
of the Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU), when he was fetching our daughter,
Vianca Preciosa S. Uy, a third year Mass Communication Student at ADMU.
Please accept our sincere apology for such unintentional and unfortunate action
committed by our driver. Since Vianca was already on her way to the car and he will
just be waiting for a minute or two (2) before Vianca alights our vehicle, our driver
thought that it will not do any harm if he stays in the shuttle parking area for a bit
while. Admittedly, it was wrong of him to assume that he can do such a thing.
However, we wish that the school parking personnel could have first given our
driver a warning, and not immediately issue a parking violation ticket to him. Anyway,
our driver never left the car, and he could have immediately driven the car away from
the area if the personnel warned him or cautioned him of an impending violation.
Further, with due respect, the fee of Two Thousand Pesos (PhP2,000.00) is a bit
exorbitant for a minor parking violation. Since our driver immediately driven the car
away from the area when the parking personnel came to him, the ticket is no longer
necessary. It would have been a different scenario if our vehicle is left at a no-parking
area, or if our driver defied the parking personnel’s advise to remove the car there from.
Thus, we respectfully implore your indulgence and appeal to your most
considerate heart to cancel the violation ticket issued to our driver. Rest assured that we
have already reminded our driver to follow the school’s rules and regulations all the
time, and that he has already learned his lesson from this incident.
We hope that you will consider the foregoing request.
