ENTREPRENEURSHIP 11

TVL 11 (ARCHIMEDES & GAUSS)

Business Plan and Terminal Report

You will be creating a business plan at the end of the first half of this course. Upon its approval, you will be
executing your business plan. At the end of the course, you will create a terminal report based on what
actually transpired in your business.

Task Goal

At the end of the task, you would have explored a business endeavor related to your interest and professional
track using the principles and processes related to business and entrepreneurship.

Subject Performance Standards

To be able to complete this culminating task, you are expected to have met the following performance
standards:

 Independently (or by group) create/provide quality and marketable products and/or services in
entrepreneurship.
 Independently or with your group mates present an acceptable detailed business plan.
 Independently or with your group mates create a business vicinity map reflective of the potential
market in one’s locality/town.
 Independently or with your group mates start and operate a business according to the business plan
and present a terminal report of its operation.

Task Instructions

1. Your group will first create a business plan following the outline as presented below:

 Introduction
o Business Concept and Business Model
o Business Goals: Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Performance Targets
o Business Offering and Justification
 Executive Summary
 Business Proponents: Capabilities and Contributions
 Target Customers and Value Propositions
 Market and Market Justification
 The Product/Service Offering
 Enterprise Strategy and Delivery System (Business Competitiveness)
 Financial Forecasts, Returns, Risks, and Contingencies
 Environmental and Regulatory Compliance
 Capital Structure and Financial Offering
Your teacher may opt to include additional parts/chapters as deemed necessary.
2. The unit performance outputs from Units 2 to 12 can be used in the development of your business plan.
Further, for purposes of clarity, description, and guidelines on writing the content of each part of the
business plan, you can always refer back to these unit lessons.
3. Your teacher may opt to check the progress of the development of the business plan on a per part or
chapter basis depending on the agreement with the class to ensure that each part/chapter of the business
plan is aligned with the expected results.
4. Using the approved business plan, you will now apply it to implement your business.
5. Your teacher may give sufficient time/days for the planning of its execution before the actual start of the
business plan implementation phase. Your teacher will have the final say after discussing the duration of
the preparation and implementation of your business.
6. It should be noted that permits and/or approvals from the appropriate teacher and authorities must be
secured first whether the business plan implementation will be held inside or outside the school premises.
7. Your teacher may randomly check your group during the implementation phase to monitor its execution
and to immediately address concerns that may arise.
8. After the business implementation, your group will create the terminal report. The terminal report is made
up mostly of the contents you would have prepared as performance tasks for Units 13 and 14.
9. Create the terminal report with the following contents:
a. Income Statement
b. Balance Sheet
c. Interpretation of Financial Statements
d. Learnings for Improvement
e. Impact/Contribution analysis of the product/service/innovation for the improvement of society and
everyday living.

For purposes of clarity of the content, description, and guidelines in writing of each part in item no. 2 of
this instruction, you can always refer back to these unit lessons.
