CNF Module 7

A travelogue is a written or spoken account of travel experiences. It describes places visited, people met, and events experienced from the traveler's perspective. When writing a travelogue, one should take detailed notes and photos during travel. After returning, review the materials and create an outline structured by date or importance. Then write the full travelogue based on the outline. Common mistakes to avoid are only including facts, being too enthusiastic or critical in descriptions, and relying solely on memory without materials from the trip. The document provides guidelines for writing an effective travelogue.

- a truthful account of an individual’s experiences traveling, usually told in the past tense
and in the first person.

Steps for Writing a Travelogue

1. Decide on the purpose of your travelogue.

2. While traveling, take notes about what you see, places you visit, and people you get
acquainted with.

3. Take as many pictures as possible.

4. When you return home, take time to review your recordings. Sort them out by date, personal

thoughts and to see if the story flows logically and is easy to understand.

6. After you have completed the outline, write the full travelogue.
