Crochet elephant pattern.

THE REQUIRED MATERIALS:

- Worsted weight yarn, I used Himalaya Dolphin Baby.


- Iris yarn for thread jointing.
- 4,5 mm crochet hook (or any different crochet hook matches your yarn).
- D=8 mm, two black beads.
- Tapestry needle.
- Stuffing material, fiberfill.
- Scissors.

The finished toy is ~6.6 inches / 17 cm tall.

TERMS AND ABBREVIATIONS (US):

Ch - chain
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase (make 2 sc into one loop)
Dec – decrease (make 2 sc together)
BLO – back loops only
*6 – repeat 6 times
(12) – number of stitches in the round
Ears. Make 2.

Crochet the inner piece


of the ear with white color yarn.
1. Chain 2, and start working into the 2nd
ch from hook 6 sc
2. 6inc (12)
3. (1sc, inc) *6 (18)
4. (2sc, inc) *6 (24)
5. (3sc, inc) *6 (30)
6. (4sc, inc) *6 (36)
Fasten off, and break the yarn.

Crochet the outer piece of


the ear (with pink color yarn) similar to the inner, but do not break the
yarn.
Fold bot part with the wrong side facing each other
and join them through both loops with sc in a circle.
Fasten off, leaving a long yarn tail for sewing.
Arms

1. Chain 2, and work into the 1st ch from hook 6sc

Work the third round through BLO.

Continue crocheting through both loops.

Stuff with fiberfill.

Finish off.
